I don't see Shorty Bulls in the USPTO database.

Don't french bulldogs fill that niche already? And the whole idea of "copyrighting" a living thing bugs me!

They can't copyright anything. They can try and trademark the name, that is all. But it's not in the database, and unless they paid the $335 fee and went through about an 18 month process, they have no right to use the federal registered symbol.
