Hey ya'll! Well, tomorrow I'll be going out there. I've been here in S.C. since the 15th and I dread leaving so bad ! I'm staying with my parents and I can't log on to our AKO account, I forgot my password to the BBC so now I can't get it until we get set-up in Washington! Atleast I can still lurk here and post on the other forumns, lol! I'm afraid I'm not going to like Washington at all.I'm 100% Southern and never had a desire to leave!!! This will be the first time I've ever been away from home and this is as far from Honea Path,S.C. as you can get without leaving the country! I'm worried about having this baby alone up there while my husbands deployed, I'm worried how I'm going to deal with missing my family, I hope my sons going to like it there. This really sucks.
Well, I've heard it's gorgeous there! Just keep a positive attitude and make the best of it. Have an open mind..you'll be fine. Good luck and let us know how it's going.

Thank you CrystalK, I am trying so hard to be positive about this and see it as a learning experience! I am also trying to encourage my husband about the trip, he is nervous about starting over at a new base, and he's worried about me being so far away from home.I'm trying to act happy, but its hard. I will definitly be back at the board in a week or so.I should have gotten phone numbers from a few people here, that way I could call and see whats going on, hopefully it wont be too long before we get everything hooked up and I can come back and see whats going on!

How do you like marrying in the military? I really don't like it so far! Although I've only been married since Feb 5th this year so I guess I haven't given it much time.
First Feb the 7th we move to N.C. , now we are going to Washington, our baby is due in November and he will be deployed in Dec., so this really does suck pretty bad.
I'm still in S.C., he left last Thursady to go on to Washington to find us a place so I don't know when my son and me will be joining him.We miss him, but I am so happy to be with my family again.

So why can't you log in?

I can't log in because I don't know my password. I can get it when the Mod sends it to me on our AKO (Army Knowledge Online) account but I'm on my dads computer which is on AOL and they won't let me open my AKO account.
Kinzel, you can just create another account using Kinzel2 or something similar. Creating another account because you lost a password is no crime.

O.k. Doxie, I did create another account, with my sisters e-mail address, I never got the e-mail to actually be able to open the account. I tried to get the e-mail sent again several times but I never recieved it, so I made up a new screen name. Again, no e-mail from this site to open my account. What's wrong??????

I like the military life. My hubby has been in for 19 years and I have been married to him for 7. My x was/is also in the military so I have been in this life for quite a while. I do like it. I am actually scared for the day he retires and becomes a civilian. Just remember that there are people around to support you while he is deployed. If you need help or someone to talk to I am here. I can help you with whatever I can. I can also point you in the right direction for support on your base, post in your case. You will make some long time friends as a military wife, and remember everyone is in the same boat as you and they will help you too. It does take some time for it to grow on you, but it is a very intresting lifestyle. Pt me if you need to and I will give you my email. Keep in touch and try not to let it get you down, you may find you really like it.
