Susie, here is the info. you asked about!

In a nutshell, WW has two different plans you can follow for weight loss. The first plan is the Flex Plan (you count points).

Each food is given a number of points. When you begin WW, you are weighed and assigned a number of points that you can consume each day. The amount of points you are assigned all depends on your height and weight. There is a standard range that you will fit into. On WW, you can pretty much eat anything you want, as long as you don't excede your points allowance for the day. You will be given books and recipes that will list the points value for each recipe/food. In addition to your daily points, you are also allowed an additional 35 flex points for each week.

This plan has been around for a few years now and works pretty well. The onbly thing you really have to do is keep track of the points you eat each day. I liked WW because I could eat whatever I wanted, as long as I stayed within my points range. Also, as you lose weight, your allowed points value for each week goes down, which means you either need to eat a little less, or eat more lower point foods.

Within the past few months, the Core Plan was introduced. I am not really familiar with this plan, but from what I know, you are given a list of acceptable foods you can eat any time, in any amount. These foods have no point value (in other words, you don't need to keep track of the points). If you wish to eat anything that's not on the list, you will need to count the points for that. I am not sure what your max of points are for this one.

When I first joined WW, I lost 30lbs. in about 4 months. I felt great, and had a lot of energy. I got a lot of compliments too. I thought that I was able to continue on my own and not pay anyone to tell me the things I already knew. I was wrong! I gained all of my weight back, plus some. The second, third and fourth time around wasn't as easy. You have to be ready to do this. I will tell you that the counting of points gets to be a pain, but really, it is worth it.

I have tried many diets and eating programs, and this one really makes me feel satisfied. If I want a piece of cake, I can have it, as long as I eat something a little lighter for lunch or dinner.

Like I said, this info. is just a limited version of the real thing. If anyone has anything to add, feel free! I am sure I have missed a few things.

I have a ton of recipes I can share also and most of them are fabulous.
