Lord knows, with no pasture and hay up to $70 a round, I didn't need any more horses. But, a horse became available that was perfect for us and at a great price, so we bought her. She's a 5yo blue roan 1/2 Percheron, 1/2 Quarter. She came off a PMU farm 3 years ago. She's still green broke but very ridable. She's only about 15.2 but easily 1500lbs. She's to be my husband's riding horse as he's a BIG guy. Her name was Paulette, but she didn't really know it, so we're renaming her Molly. Hope I added a photo from the site she was on.

Except for the feathering, you'd think she's just a huge Quarter Mare. My husband and saddle push 300lbs, so we were looking for a draft cross. The lady we bought from is bringing drafts and crosses all the way from Canada to south Texas and she was a return due to the first owner having too many horses to feed.

Wow, we have the same cross here, and she is the spitting image of the QH x Morgan, not the Percheron x QH. Hope he enjoys many miles on her.

She si very pretty. We almost bought a draft mare a few yrs ago. We even went to look at her but the owners were not home. By the time we finally did make the connection they already sold her. Sigh. Have fun with her.
It's a dog eat dog world, and I am wearing milkbone underwear!...unknown.

Thanks everyone for your positive comments. She has been on our place for 6 days and is already adjusting well. Another week and we'll have her following us around looking for treats just like the geldings do.
