I haven`t ridden in yrs but have been missing riding dearly.I just recieved 2 geldings. The sorrel name is OILERS IMPRESSION.( Shorty) He is 13 yrs old.And seems to be a sucky .He is by Impressive but has been tested. The other a Buckskin name is ROMANTIC FURY.(Diesel).He has Poco and Peppy Otoe in his pedigree. He is 17 yrs old He seems to be the boss with an aditude. They are supose to be Bigginer save. As the last owners learnt to ride on them. Now I wish the weather would get better so I go try them out. Anyway here is are some pics of them.
Been so long since I posted a photo. Forgot to shrink them.Any advice on how I can back into it.My neigbour is going to ride one. But she is like me. Been out of the saddle a long time.We thought we lead them up and down the laneway and the road. Then lunge each other in the paddock.Any ideas would be great. As we our out of shape but the Beasties are not.

Wish!! It's good to hear from you. The horses look nice. Just go slow - especially until you find what they'll do [and not do]. I'd prefer to do my first couple of rides in an enclosed area - if unavailable - the longe line is a good idea. And only for 10 of 15 min at first - at least that's about all I could take right now and still be able to walk when I got off.

Congrats WISH!!!! They look very happy and it looks like they got a great home! Let us know how they work out, and please keep posting pics! We don't have enough nice horse pics to look at!! Good luck with them!
CONGRATS on the new horse. Now I know what ya mean about the weather. I'm hoping to get some serious riding done this summer. We got our horses mid to late fall and haven't ridden in a coons age. Also when you say one is a sucker do you mean cribber/wind sucker? Invest in a Miracle collar for when he is stalled or corraled (not pastured of course) to help keep him from "stump sucking" as we call it here. I had a walker that did this and he was so hard to keep weight on. He was a fun horse to ride tho. I sure do wish for summer to get a move on!! LOL.

Thanks all for the congrats. Crittermom. What I ment by a sucker is.He is a sucky poo. Follows the other one around.Gosh don`t need no cribber here. All new fencing and stalls.Well they seem to settle in good. I lounged them yesturday both in the arena for about 15 min each. And rode the Buckskin, Diesel in the little paddock for awhile.About 20 min. I can`t ride in the arena as it is too low. Only 12 feet high. We bought the building for me to drive my minis in Not thinking about riding at the time.. But it works good for lounging though .Will post more pics soon.I will be having foals soon. Almost time for mare stare.
