He had steady speed through out the race, when he picked up to pass the 2 horses in the lead, the second horse clipped his back heel after passing and he didn't like that.... he then slowed down. This was a 6 1/2 furlong. He wants more track now. So his next race will be another mile 16th or mile 70 which ever comes next @ Charlestown. Charlestown track is very deep compared to PN, bigtime. He liked it there, so that's where were going to race next time too. I have my chestnut colt in this week @ Philly Park. He won first time out MSW, I'm hoping he wins his second time out also.
Flipper passed the one horse and the one horse clipped my horses heel. He's gashed on the left hind heel from the back. My horse passed on the right side.
edited to add: I believe the rider of the one horse had alot to do with it... beings a "rat" passed to take the lead. The one horse was also ridden by a PN Jockey. JMO.
I have a brother and neice , who run at Mountaineer. They both train. and my neices' boyfriend is riding at Hoosier, who opened today. His Brother is riding at River Downs.

See your niece's boyfriend at Hoosier. We usually ship in there. I LOVE how all the jockey's have to blow before the races and the no bullshit policy on drug testing. Keeps those vain little shits in check. My fiance is a jockey.
I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. He's slight, narrow, chest is rather shallow, over at the knees, hind end is way off, wither are higher than hip(big no no, as all power to propel forward comes from the hind,) not to mention no extension at a trot, he may have it, but the photographer doesn't know how to photograph to, not to mention bring it out of the horse. There are other things, but beautiful, not in my opinion.
.. the TB on Eagle's site was sold... the "Flipper" is now on the Dressege Team for the East Coast. It wasn't posted, but it's true. The "Flipper" was sold.

Ok so I know sometimes "race horse people" think us "nonracers" spoil our horses but I really believe in a partnership. i dont think cracking an egg/balloon (or thank god I didnt hear it again on hear but previous advice from an old timer a glass bottle with real blood in it) over the horses head. I reccommend a book and you can find it on amazon, called a create a perfect partnership- subtitle how to be the owner your horse would chose for himself. I have a two yo thoroughbred I have been training and she is a sily girl so I desperatley bought that book followed the advice to a T and you should see my girl a month later! A 9 year old girl rode her the other day and you would of thought that 2 year old was 20! so calm and attentive! I wish you the best of luck with your "flipper" See you at the races!
I'm sick of hearing Thorougbred people being criticized for thier methods. Until anyone on here has actually ridden a racehorse in training on the track, I suggest they refrain from unnecessary commentary.
