I had the exact same thing happen to me....I sent a $700 deposit for an apricot puppy. I was told the litter died but I was not getting my deposit back!!! We had many many heated conversations but with her living in OK and me in MD, I had no way of fighting this witch. She lies and is a very unethical breeder. Funny thing ins, I was at the Poodle Club Of America show this year and there was a red/apricot standard entered under the Windancer name...and the birthdates sure seemed close to the litter that died!! I'm going to try and get a hold of a catalog somewhere to start researching. Also been 2 yrs for me but $700 is alot of money to just giveaway....especially to someone like Teresa Skaggs!!!

WE as comsumers must be warned about those breeders that are unethical in their business dealings. I contracted with a breeder by the name of Teresa SKaggs, doing business as both Windancer Poodles and Symphony Lochens out of Oklahoma for a puppy with a deposit for a specific puppy of $600. She was not able to fulfill that contract in both the time alloted and the specific puppy, hence the contract was at that time void. She has yet to return the deposit after more then a year and repeated requests for her to do so. THis will warn others that we never know whom we are dealing with when it comes to the WEbsites and internet.....a puppy mill very likely would be on the other end of the line. Please..always check with the breed club in that state to get the list of the reputable breeders, had i done that, i would have never been referred to Teresa Skaggs, since the Oklahoma poodle club is well aware of her reputation.
