I have 4 ferrets and they are very nice. Not a mean bone in their bodies. They do like to steal things and bring them to their hidey places. Do not give them bathes to often or they will smell, the glans will keep producing oils. Also do not give them fish based foods. That will make them stink also. Give them plenty of out of cage time.

On a Ferret, that smell will still remain if you remose those glands because the smell also comes from the oil in their coat.

I had one when my youngest daughter was an infant. She was wonderful. We let her run the house a lot, but you have to keep an eye on them because not only are they high class theives, but their professional escape artists as well...LOL!

You can pretty much tell when they are babies if they are going to be nasty or not, I've personally only seen one like that.
