Anyone else have ferrets? I had 1 bought as a baby. His name is Bodee. Then a friend had 3 given to her. She gave me 1 female, her name is Coonie. Then the other week, same friend gave me the last 2 she had, female named Fossa, male names Ringo. Fossa is a pure white with pink eyes. She is deaf. Ringo was very thin when I got him. Any suggestions on what I can feed him to add pounds? Any other suggestions? Favorite foods, toys, etc?

We have 2...Blitz and Bop. We adopted them from the Mahoning County Animal Welfare. They were left behind when their owners moved out.

We just love them, they are so much fun! He is albino and she is sable.

ferrets for sale
I have two male ferrets both 5 months for sale with a cage hammonk auto food and water feeder ,carrier roll around ball, shampoo, litter pan ,toys and whatever I have lift in litter and food I'm asking $350 for all and $250 for everything but the cage and the hammonk and $180.00 for the two ferrets only.
They are always wantin' to be held like little babies they get along good and need a loving home I would keep them but my 6 year old don't know how to handle them and I'm afraid she'll hurt them.
I can send you pics if you think you might want them let me know I'm in the imperial saint louis area will meet half way if not to far

First off congrats ferrets are awesome. I had three but one passed away a few months ago. He was an albino/cinnamon named Daweasle. Then we have two sables Rosie and Harley. The two I have now are on a food that you can get at walmart cant think of the name off the bat I will have to get back to you on that. Marshall ferrets make some really good food. We cant find it down here by us but you can get it at like Petsmart or Petco. As for toys nothing they can chew up cuz trust me they will. Watch letting them out they will steal anything they can get their mouths on. A good place to go to is www.ferretstore.com I love that place lol. Even though a lot of ferret people will fight with me if you have to you can but try not feeding them cat food. I mean if you run out do it but if you dont have to dont. There is not enough protein in the cat food for a ferret. Also you do understand they sleep like 22 hours a day. They sleep all the time. But they do need to run and have fun for at least an hour a day. Also do not give them the live distemper shot becuz they will get distemper if you do (which will kill a ferret) I wont give them live shots at all.

For the one that is skinny, has he been to the vets? There is a disease called; Aleutian Disease which cause weight loss, hind quarter weakness, lethargy, blood in the stool, twitching or seizures, anemia, and enlargement of the liver or spleen. If you havent already take him to the vets to make sure. If you have more questions feel free to PT me.

It's not always rainbows and butterflies. It's compromise that moves us along. (This seems to be so true in life).
