Urgent!
We really need all your networking help to find two "hurricane" dogs.
We had a couple arrive at St. Francis Animal Sanctuary today looking for their dogs, which are from Mississippi, and never came through our system.
The dogs were in Pas Christian. The family was feeding them at the home from which they had been evacuated, until they could be relocated. On a day that the authorities were keeping all traffic out of the city, their two dogs were removed from their home and they have been searching everywhere since. That occurred around Sept 6th – 8th. The dogs have not been entered on Pet Finder or Pet Harbor.
The dogs are:
A male Golden Retriever and a female German Shepherd. They believe there was an animal group in the area that had taken an interest in the dogs and their van or truck had some name on the side that they think included the words “wildlife rescue”. Animal groups and individuals have come into the area from literally all over the country as well as Canada so we need your help to do a search and find these dogs. The family is heart broken.
If you know the names of any individuals or organizations that were doing rescue work in Pas Christian around Sept. 5 – 8, please let me know. My e-mail address is francis@bestfriends.org.
Thank You,
