For years now, we have had guinea pigs. I have found them to be the most wonderful pets. They do not tend to smell - provided you keep their area clean - they are smart, funny and absolutely adorable.
We currently have three. Having recently aquired a dog, as well as our beloved birds, and having both my husband and I working, our poor pigs just aren't getting the "quality time" they deserve. Yes, they are very well cared-for, but the play time, handling, loving, etc. has just been hard to fit into the hectic schedule lately.
I feel that is isn't fair for them to lack human attention, and though I love them dearly, if I could find a family who would enjoy them I would be willing to give them away.
Here is what I have: BTW, they are all females.
Bey - A slick-haired red female, approx 3 years old Brittany - Looks like a stuffed toy animal - white and tan, very long hair, pink eyes, approx 15 months old. When we got her, she was preg unknown to us so she gave birth to Hannah. Hannah - Born 8-29-02 - rather long haired, grey/white
All of these pigs are beautiful. They have lately become a tad wild, as we haven't handled them like we once did. They do tame back down easily though.
Our habitat consists of a dining room table with scalloped edges to prevent them jumping out. They have matching food bowls, water bottle, and two adorable little hidey-hole houses. We prefer to use Carefresh bedding, which we are out of at the moment, but if anyone would like to have these pigs, food, etc - whatever we have - comes along with them free.
I just thought that perhaps someone may have a child with a birthday comeing up or something and this would make a nice RAOK at no cost. I would be afraid to ship them but live in Mississippi and would be willing to travel within reason if I were certain that they were going to a good home. I love them so much, but they deserve more right now than I can give them.
I also have a "baby book" that lists the dates we got them as well as the estimated date of birth, and have a great link to order the carefresh bedding from if it isn't available in your area. The company I use gives free shipping over 25.00
NOTE: That table-top pen is wonderful, as it prevents you having to get down on your knees for cleaning, etc. LOLOLOL Before I discovered this brainstorm, I had nearly crippled myself crouching and kneeling! ROFL
If you are interested, please email me zoesflyin@aol.com and I can provide some pics of them.
Thanks, and hope that somewhere among you there is a perfect family just ready and waiting for three darling little babies!
