I went to the vet yesterday to have a dental done on my pet/breeder Yorkie who will be possible used after he has been finished in showing. He also needed a few shots and to be micro-chipped. dropped him off at 9am left around 9 3oish am called to check on him at about 11:30 , they said he was almost done and all looked great.. called again at 2pm I was told he was starting to wake up and was going great. called at 3pm to see what time to pick him up, and was told to come after 4:30pm.. got to my vet whom I like/liked at about 4:30pm . I was told to come back to the exam room as their had been a little problem, and would like to talk about it. so nervously i went back and they began to tell me that after he had woken up they took him out back to go potty , they did say that going out after surgery was not routine. Then they claimed to see a reddish mark that looked like blood on his testicles, and they turned him over to examine him and had no clue what might have happened to him. when I saw my dog not only were his testicle red but it looked like a golf ball(he is only 3 pounds) the vet went on to tell me her theory that they had put him into a incubator after surgery then onto the counter to switch towels then back into kennel. So she thought maybe the heat in the incubator was to hot OR that Maybe it was not working correctly or that maybe he got pinched while closing the kennel door.. they sent me home with cream NO pain meds and a dog collar. and said come back on Monday. how ever we have been into see them this morning and to another emergency vet????????? What Would YOU DO???????????? I AM SO MAD!!!!!!!!!!
