At what age does a kitten become a cat?

I consider a kitten no longer a kitten when it reaches 12 months of age.

I agree with Crystal. Everything under 12 months is considered a kitten, and once they reach 12 months they are a cat. JMO.

I thought so too, but evidently not. I was very surprised at some of those. I thought it was pretty interesting.

From another prospective, some felines are able to reproduce as early as 5 months of age.
