i don't know how to post a blog. sorry...i am in need of much help. i live in seoul, south korea. i just bought a puppy about a week ago. he is a min pin and is two months old. he started showing signs of sickness a few days after i brought him home. i took him to the vet, but there is a HUGE language barrier. he was tested for distemper and it was negetive. he has immunty built up for parvo. she really believes that it is distemper. these are his smyptoms: first he has a runny nose and kept sneezing. the mucus from his nose was clear, but if he sneezed hard it became thicker. now he has a horrible cough...very dry, very unproductive. his temp. is low, his stool is normal, and he eats well. he as gained weight also. in the past day he has stopped sneezing and his nose is a bit normal, but he coughs all the time. he has been sleeping a lot, when awake he isn't as active, and sometimes seems confused when walking around. the doc has him on anti-biotics, but i read if it is a virus that they are only supportive. koreans don't view dogs the same way as westners do. most tell me to trade him in for a "better one." i cannot do this. he has stolen my heart and i refuse to leave his side. please if anyone has any ideas of what is wrong with him, please help. could it be the flu? kennel cough? distemper? i have scrubbed my apartment clean, got a humiditfier, and stopped smoking around him. are there any other things i can do to make him more comfortable? can i feed him honey to soothe his cough? any suggestions would be appreciated!!! quick response is of great importance. sincerely, Olivia and my baby Bello
