This should be an interesting survey. But most people own more than one dog or animal at a time. It would be more accurate to know as a total where pets come from.
I have 2 dogs from breeders & 1 dog (neutered) from a shelter.
I have 1 cat from a breeder, 1 from an individual, and 1 from the shelter. All of the cats are alterred.

I have 2 Rotts,breeder,1 Doberman {neutered}breeder, 1 St.Bernard {spayed}pet store,3 mxed {neutered,spayed}animal shelter,1 wolf hybrid {spayed}breeder,Love them all,The 2 Rotts.are the only 1's not alltered.

My next dog is a rescue. She's a rat terrier. YAY...
Your Pet deserves the best care available. If your pet is sick, take it to the vet! Be responsible, get your pets spayed or neutered!

Only buy from a petstore they give you a guarantee on the dog/cat

boy arent you full of it. most responcible breeders give you a two yr guarantee much more than you will ever get from a pet store.

I got 1 dog from my sister 2 from the pound and 1 we raised as a pup....then of course their is "Granny" the chi that came from my friend at work....she is doing great for an old girl....especially after getting dewormed etc.....she does have decent teeth and can eat dry dog food, but I give her wet food too just incase.
It's a dog eat dog world, and I am wearing milkbone underwear!...unknown.

I got 4 from a breeder in Illinois. 1 from a breeder in Oklahoma. The rest are home bred/raised.

anyway, i have to choose "other". you forgot to add "rescue organization"
etc....
my LAST dog came from a fmaily that couldnt keep her anymore, i adopted her from them.
my other two came from breeders. one reputable, the other unfortunatly, a byb
