I took her to a new vet. To begin with while loading her a friend of mind left the side door open and she backed out, then she couldn't climb back in right so she kept rearing and jumping in and out, finally I was able to calm her down. While jumping in and out the 1/4 in metal had sliced a huge part of her head. From her forehead to about an inch from her eye. Well we were off to a great start!! I called the vet and told her the story and she was waiting outside. We stiched her up then caught her and my gelding up on shots and coggins. After that we turned our attention to her bladder problem. I explained to her about the stallion and everything. Well she pointed out that my mare was sunging in in the back and her vagina went verticle then horzontial. She said we should start by sewing the top (horzontial) of her vagina up. So shw cut it and sewed it together. We also flushed her and she is now on antibiodtics for and infection. She has only been on them for 3 days but she seems to be doing better. She also suggested more corn in her diet and possibly something called Red Cell. I will let you know how my girl follows through!!!! Thanks for all of your help.

If you know of anything that might speed up the healing process feel free to add!! Also If anyone knows anything about Red Cell calf Manna or Metimucil please tell me. I've used Cald Manna and meticuil before but someone told me to stop using it in the summer b/c of the heat. (I live in south GA) I don't know why but I didn't want to take any chances. PLease feel free to tell me anything. THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!!

red cell is a blood builder, we used it at the race track. Calf mana is good. It adds protein.
I am glad that the vet has found your problems and is helping get them straightened out for you. We have caslicked mares before, it helps to keep them from reinfecting themselves. good luck with her, maybe a baby next year.
