ok,folks I have found a vet who does the nail, beak, and wing clipping ----it looks like in my area there aren't many----they told me they use a grinder on the nails--now is this a normal thing or is it some kind of new procedure,I know NOTHING about what is right or wrong--I was also told that they would not 'trim' his beak unless it had been damaged in some way and he was unable to eat properly----guess you could say since I don't know anything ---I am just afraid to let some one do things to him that may be "expermental". He and I are getting along good ,he makes a funny soft noise when we get up in the morning--sqwaks if I dont take his cover off when he thinks I should and is going to the playtop and watching and supervising the morning activites----

I have hear of some vets and breeders, triming nails with a grinder. And no they shouldn't trim his beak unless there is an overgrowth. The reason I have been told that they use a nail grinder, is the is a bit more control on how much is taken off and there is less of a chance of them clipping to the quick. I hope this helps. It sounds like the 2 of you are doing great.
