I am looking into adding a bird to my family. I have been doing research, and have decided that although beautiful and sweet, I live in an apartment, so a cockatoo is too loud for me. However, I'm looking for something with some potential to talk, and lots of personality. What kinds of bird have a bit lower noise level then a cockatoo but still have that fun personality?

We have 2 very sweet cockateils who both whistle and the male now speaks several phrases. The female is younger, and although they say females don't whistle or sing, our is just beginning to. They can be a bit loud on occasion, but nowhere near as loud as a parrot or cockatoo!
