They are my favorite ones to watch. The most recent I have watched: CABIN FEVER wasn't scary, but it was extremely gross! (which is always good in a horror movie, if it's not scary, it at least should have some gore!) 28 DAYS LATER the story to it was good, but the movie was kinda boring UNDERWORLD love vampire or werewolf movies, so since it has both had to see it it was good JEEPERS CREEPERS 2 Soooo much better than the first one!!!! Now I just cant wait until March 19th for DAWN OF THE DEAD!!!
Newfie---I too saw the texas chainsaw movie but it was the first one many years ago--the most frightening thing was it was based on a true story---I recently watched winds of terror--these types of movies make you really wonder not if things are going to happen but when---
Have you seen THE RING? It was actually one that scared me! That doesn't happen too often with me. I also like THE SIXTH SENSE and STIR OF ECHOES. They are a few years old now, but they were kind of scary.
I used to love scary movies when I was younger. Freddy Kruger was just the greatest! When my son was about 5 months old I turned the tv on (being a HUGE Steven King fan) to find Pet Cemetary(sp?)right at the point where the boy gets hit by the truck and the little shoe flies off. That did it for me. I see them every now and then. Jeepers Creepers 2 was the latest, OMG that was just wrong!!!

Yeah, I thought Freddy vs Jason wasn't all they made it out to be either. I have seen all of the Friday the 13th and all the Nightmare on Elm Street movies and think they could have made Freddy vs. Jason much better.

My husband, youngest son, and I watched The Ring here at home around midnight. When the movie ended, I said that if any if us got a call we were really in trouble (no one even knew we were still up). My husband said, "If that phone rings, we are definitely in trouble. It isn't even connected!!!" We had recently converted to completely cell phones.
I was babysitting my sisters kids the night I watched it. They were all sleeping from about half way through the movie. When it gets to the part where she comes walking out of the tv I was trying to wake one of them up to watch with me! Right after it was over, there was a knock on the door! I hadnt even heard a car. It was a friend of mine. I gave him all kinds of hell. He scared me sooo bad!

Yeah, I know what you mean about that! I too live in the middle of nowhere, with lots of woods around!
I use to live in a town where brothers and sister and other close relations slept together!God I was sick because it was in the mountains. I thought to myself, my god these people make country people go back 200 years no wonder city people call them hicks

Lol. It's actually not too bad. If you live out in the woods for a long time, you're already used to those sounds. You don't think, OH MY GOSH, there's a maniac with a chainsaw coming to kill me, you think, oh, heh, must be a skunk, or a bear or whatever. And if you actually know anything about bears, or encountered them before, you know they're harmless if they haven't got kids.
