THE ASSINATION OF RICHARD NIXON:
Damn boring and depressing. Sean Penn was a wimp and I didn't care for this movie at all.

What role did Sean Penn play? Surely it wasn't Nixon was it? If so, I'm SURE I won't be watching this movie. LOL!

The movie is crap because it's not about Richard Nixon at all. The most you see of Richard Nixon is that he is on TV in the background a lot.

Sean Penn played a pathetic (and I should emphasize pathetic) furniture salesman, and a total LOSER in life. He was as whimpy as whimpy could get and that's just not how I'm used to seeing him act.

His acting for that character was lousy as well. The character gave a whole new meaning to the word dense. It was just a bad movie. You keep waiting for something to happen, but it really never does. Ya know, like the loser is going to grow some balls and stand up to his boss for a change or something, but nooooo, he gets fired instead and then becomes more of a loser. The whole story is that way.

Fear Ex- Weird. I swear, movies now a days are starting to get me more confused than I already am. It was okay, but definately not worth watching ever again.

The title of the movie above is suppose to be FEAR X, not FEAR EX.

American Crime- Well, its another one that I would never watch again, or reccomend to anyone. It was set up different the most movies, kinda like a documentary. They had great camera effects but the movie in general was really slow in the beginning, but it picked up about the last hour of the movie.

Anyone see Ladder49 yet? I have been wanting to rent it since it came out but of course with Blockbuster movie passes, no one ever returns them. I think the movie pass is great, but not great in the same breath. Its an inconvience. Peoople keep movies out longer and others have to wait weeks before they get a chance to watch it.

Yes, Susie, I watched Ladder 49 last week! I loved it. Very good movie. And unlike most movies these days, did not have a predictable ending. I'd watch it again.

Wow, CrystalK- you didn't emphasize enough how GREAT LADDER 49 was. It was worth the extra wait. I am so impressed with this movie. I may add this to my video collection ( which is usually only Adam Sandler movies ) plus Troy. This movie is great, although since you told me the ending wasn't a usual ending, I knew what was going to happen halfway through the movie, but I hoped and prayed every second that it wouldn't end up that way. It was great, had me in tears, actually more like sobbing. I have a deeper respect for firefighters.

Sorry Susie, if I gave away more than I should have. But yes, I'm going to buy it also. And I cried in several places in the movie. Definitely one of the best I've seen in a while.

I tried watching Ladder 49 last night, but kept getting sidetracked. The bits and pieces that I saw of it were good. I am going to watch it again tonight. I can't wait!

ELECKTRA: Bad movie. It was more boring than it was interesting. A couple of okay parts, but not one I'd recommend to anyone.

Anaconda- great movie. I liked it, it wasn't suspsenseful, I could call every move, but it definately was full of action and some good twists and turns. Reccomended. Definately better then I thought it would be

Yeah Susie, Anaconda was better than I expected it to be.

HOSTAGE: Excellent...typical Bruce Willis ending and I was disappointed that you never get to find out who the man in the mask is, but otherwise, riveting.

Into the Sun- Steven Seagal movie. Its about an ex- CIA agent who is sent to investigate the death of a Tokyo politician, he comes into direct conflict with a dangerous underground mafia. Great performance, definately a decent movie.

I have to disagree with you about that movie Susie. Steven Seagal was not at his best and the movie was pretty crappy. Also, if you noticed, Steven didn't do much of his regular movements. Sad to say, the boy has gotten quite paunchy with age and it's probably more difficult for him to carry on like he used to.

I agree MPB...in my opinion, Steven Segal was NEVER a good actor, but he did have his moves going for him. And in the past few movies, even those have faded.

STANDER: Yawn..need I say more? It put me right to sleep. It sounded like it would be interesting, ya know, cop turned bank robber, but man, it was a bad movie. I tried, but I just couldn't stay awake.I'm not going to bother trying to finish watching it.

Ok don't know if this movie has been talked about before The Village not at all what I had expected! I thought it was horror and I don't care for horror but this wasn't. Great movie IMO
