Really Great Movies... Really Bad Movies... Really Funny Movies...
We just watched "Sorted Lives" and it was hilarious in a trashy trailer park sort of way. There were a couple of parts that were sad, but the movies was so wierd...I needed a good laugh and I guess I got one. It's a very different sort of comedy. I don't really think it was a good movie, just hilarius in some parts.LMAO

I kind of like "Rose Red" - it a Stephen King movie - but then if they follow the books they're usually pretty good. A lot of his don't follow very well - a couple are not even close. I also like "Hard to Kill" - "Dracula 2000" - "Highlander" - "Braveheart" - things like that.
Funny movies? - I don't usually like them. I like "Sister Act" - "Kelly's Heroes" - "Dirty Dozen" - "Cat Ballou"
I like mini serieses and documentaries. Ken Burns' "The Civil War" - "Winds of War" - "War and Rememberance" - "Shogun" - "Roots" - "A Dangerous Life" - stuff like that.

DogBabi...I need to rent a funny movie...maybe I'll try that one if it really is funny.
In my opinion, FUNNY: Meet My Parents, How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, I hear "office space" is funny so I'll rent that sometime soon, Bridget Jones Diary (I thought the book was better though)
Scary: I don't really get scared that much, but everyone says The Ring is scary...I've yet to see it. When I was younger my sister and I always used to watch "The Watcher In The Woods" and we thought it was soooo scary. My sister ended up buying it and I watched it the last time I went home and couldn't believe I was ever scared!
I don't like a lot of movies and there are just too many to name I don't know where to start! Jackass the movie, Legally Blonde 2, Maid in Manhattan, Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood (the book was good though), Kill Slappey (or something like that...my dad made me watch it and it was like pulling teeth to stay awake)
I loved The Wedding Planner and I liked the Fast and the Furious, and there are others I just can't think straight at the moment
I liked that movie, Me, Myself and Irene...I know that's been out a few years but I had never seen it until this year. LMAO all the way thru it.
I did see the ring...it's more of a thriller/horror ...you won't fall asleep during it. It is a bit scary in some parts of it. I can't compare it to any other movie I've seen. I do watch horror from time to time just for a change, but most of them I'm not real impressed with.
You can't go by what I think of horror movies though....I might be wierd, but they are usually funny to me. I saw the Exorcist when it first came out and I was 16 (I remember that one well). I laughed thru the whole movie and now I just consider it pretty dumb. But I've changed over the years. I just can't take horror seriously and I don't like gory. I watched the Texas Chainsaw Massacre when it came out and I was 18. Living in Texas, I didn't laugh thru that movie...and more so because it was based on a true story...Too close to home for me.{But you can bet I'm going to watch the new one that is coming out--haha!!}
I like to watch movies which have a true story base, as long as they aren't documentary style. I liked that movie with Leonardo DiCapri...Catch Me If You Can... I don't know what class to put it in, but it was interesting. There was another one I liked with Edward Norton, the 25th hour...didn't put me to sleep.
Hey...thanks for reminding me of some things. Remember when the exorcist came out again for a second time 3-4 yrs ago? Well I went to see it for the first time and I did not think it was scary at ALL. A friend at work who is a hard @$$ was terrified of The Ring so I might have to watch it.
I have never seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I did love Catch Me if You can....actually I expected more from the previews but I was satisfied...hey guess what. You know the character Tom Hanks played? My grandfather was in the FBI until he died and was good friends with the guy- I think he may have even gone to my grandfather's funeral...so I thought that was pretty cool. My grandmother actually told me that because she saw the movie with my aunt.
I also love Pearl Harbor...I have that movie and I LOVE it! I too like movies that are based on something truthful because it's more real to me. I watched the dumb movie named "Blue Crush" because I love Hawaii more than ANYTHING! My little little sister loved that movie.
I love Pearl Harbor, but I love movies that are based on true stories and history (but I think that is because I am a history major). My husband cryed when we went to the movies to see it. I kind of liked Titanic, but when the boat was sinking my husband laughed because they put in ding sound effects when the people where hitting metal on their way down. If you like true stories one that most people haven't heard of is Lady Jane, she was the queen of England for about 15 days, sad sad movie. For a tear jerker I like Up Close and Personal. Comdey: The Sweetest Thing Another good true story is 61* and I don't even like baseball. I saw the strangest movie last night on HBO called Bully all that I can really say about it is that it is STRANGE.
<Dogbabi: I saw this movie based on a true story you might like. It is called Murder in Greenwich. It was about ( at the time i didnt know hubby picked it out) Mark forman (sp?) of the OJ trial who wrote a book about the OJ trial and then went to greenwich after to write a book about a murder that happened 20 years prior. It was really good IMHO and i dont really like those kinds of movies. Donna

I just wanted to say that it was a great movie... Colin Ferrel did a great job and the story stuck mostly to the comic... I would definitely recommened it if you liked any of the other Marvel Movies out right now
However, Hulk was very very disappointing... slow plot in the beginning... the movie dragged a lot... when there was action though, boy was there ACTION!
I Just saw Malibu's Most wanted, Bringin' Down the House and Dumb and dumberer...Malibu's is pretty funny; Bringin' down the house Was funnier than malibu's most wantedand dumb and dumberer had a few really funny parts, but some parts were really dumb...

We watched Mrs. Doubtfire last night. I'd only seen it one time before, years ago, but it was still a good movie. I like Robin Williams in most of his movies. We watch all kinds of movies, even ancient ones sometimes...in my opinion, most movies are timeless. I've never ever watched Gone With The Wind...can you believe that? hahaaha!! Maybe one of these days...maybe not...who knows...
Dragonfly: I liked that movie O'Brother Where Art Thou also...it was great!!
True Blue: You've got to watch The Wizard of Oz. I watched it as a kid and I still watch it nearly every year. I love that movie. Maybe because I saw it when I was so young,...I just love the little munchkin people. It's a musical, but not your usual musical. Good for a rainy day**
