I don't recommend Chicago unless you are into musicals. It's mostly bad singing. I thought it was going to be different and I was very disappointed in it.

Hitchhiker 2, better than Hitchhiker 1 and had Jake Busey as the hitchhiker this time.

My husband watched Lord of the Rings, The Two towers and said it was very good. He also watched Cradle To The Grave ( Jet Li) He said the acting was poor, but the Kung Fu scenes were good. ( I can't handle those types of movies.........I like the old black and white movies. Everything these days is either sex or violence and I just can't watch that kind of stuff. Frown

Rosemarie, Have you watched Homeward Bound? It's older, but it's about 2 dogs and a cat and they go on a great adventure. It's a really good family story...nice, clean movie. The dogs and cats talk, but it's not a cartoon.
I loved it myself!! Smile

I watched Blackwoods. It was pretty different if you're into a movie with lots of twists and turns. Tonight I watched Widows and it was pretty good--half comedy, half drama about 4 women out on a caper. I also watched Reign of Fire and was very disappointed. Matthew McConaghay (sp) was pretty wild though.

I liked Identity. I would have liked more at the end though about the "guy" (I don't want to give the story away), but it was decent. Smile

We watched WindTalkers last night. It was about war, but a very good story line. I'm always interested in Indian stuff. Nicholas Cage stars in it too and he gives a good dramatic performance as well.

I watched the Italian Job with Edward Norton last night. I thought it would be better, but then I think that about all the movies lately. Smile It was okay, another heist with unbelieveable stuff in it as usual.

It's a small world, after all.

I watched a wierd dvd called The Tape. Ethan Hawke was in it and it was mostly just talking, but it had a sweet ending. I'm not recommending it, it was different though.

I watched "we were soldiers" with mel gibson. Sad movie about the vietnam war. I've seen most of the movies about the vietnam war and I'm tired of seeing them. Same story, different actors. I'm sorry we had the war, but the movies have worn out their welcome. The best ones were Platoon and Full Metal Jacket, as far as that type. I did like "good morning vietnam" with robin williams just because I like robin williams, probably.

I also watched The Score with Edward Norton and Robert Dinero again. I'd seen it a while back when it first came out, but it was better the second time. I caught a few things that I didn't catch onto about the first round. I like that movie just because it's a caper.

I watched a western called Jericho. I remember somebody was asking about westerns--forget who?
Anyway, that one isn't a bragger. I have another one I rented called Badlands and I'll let you know how it is after I watch it.

Wrong Turn. Reminded me of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Kind of hokey, but I did watch it anyway. Smile

I rented Riding In Cars With Boys and it was a drama, but it was so good. I didn't know how it was going to be and I debated on it 3 different times at the video store and I finally got it.
If you like drama, this is excellent. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, it will make you sad, it will make you glad, it will make you think and ponder on things in your life. At least that is what it did for me.

The other movie was Arabian Nights. I wasn't impressed. I would have liked more Genie stuff in it, but it was okay. Kids would probably like it. The lady was a good storyteller. It was just different than I thought it would be.

It's a small world, after all.

Sally,

My thoughts exactly. The whole time I was watching I was thinking "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"...I hated it to tell you the truth.

I watched Laurel Canyon. It sucked!! I could have written the movie. Typical. Waste of $$$ and time. It was one of those, you keep hoping it's going to get better movies, but then it never does. Rating = dumpster material.

Arrgghhh..I hate that...You just keep watching thinking..this has got to get better any minute now, and before you know it, the entire 90 minutes or so is gone and you feel stupid for ever believing in the first place it was going to change because in your heart you knew it sucked within the first 5 minutes..Glad I'm not the only one who does that...
