If you havent seen the movie, as the Mod has, then how can you possibly make an informative decision. Right now all you can disagree with is the subject matter the film covers. If you have not seen it for yourself, then you really dont know what was presented. I agree with the Mod, everyone should see this movie regardless of your political association.
The only dumb question is the one that goes UNASKED!!!!

Much of the movie is based more on fact than you might expect.
The facts that are explored are indisputable.

Whose facts? That doesn't say much about the character of the people there if they gave that movie a standing ovation. A bunch of Kerry Lovers they all are, I would say. How very sad. Surely I hope you weren't one of those who gave a standing ovation were you? Wait! Please don't answer that! Unless you care to on your own free will and admission. Sorry............but ANY movie or any actor or actress that attempts to soil the character of the President of The United States ( my and others beloved and well admired President Bush) gets a from me.
By the way is this really you mod, or are you actually in Hawaii again? Would you care to share with the whole board, that picture of you shaking your cousin Bill Clinton's hand, lol?

EVERYONE has already seen that picture, my dear Rose. It was in the newspaper for goodness sake! Where have you been?
i think the movie has bad timing....haven't seen it, but i will eventually when it comes out lol, i don't like the movies, too many people. i agree with rose in the fact that at this time, this movie just hits too close to home. regardless of whether or not you like bush, he IS our president, and we have our boys overseas DYING for our country....whether or not you like it, we have to SUPPORT them, and this film has got to be a huge blow to their morale....
however rose, you are so protective of bush, calling people "kerry lovers"....quick fact for ya...did you know both kerry and bush are members of the Yale club 'skulls and bones'? go do some research on that and then come back here and tell me what you think about bush....but you won't because you're always right aren't ya?

What are you, a practicing Witch? Your previous posts and this one concern me. You seem to dwell on "the dark side"
I am happy however that we agree Fahrenheit 911, the movie and it's timing is inappropriate, considering we have men and boys fighting and dying out there.

what? yes i am a practicing witch...but how is that dwelling on the dark side? "Skull and Bones" is an official sanctioned club at YALE university, and both bush and kerry are members, as was bush senior and many many many other prominent men in politics...no one seems to know what they do is very secret. i was merely suggesting that you don't know everything about bush, and maybe you should go do some research.

Men and Women are out there fighting Rose, if they are old enough to be sent into a war zone then they have earned the right to be called a man and a woman.
As far as timing goes. Are you afraid this movie might affect Bush's chances for re-election? That sounds like more a reason to complain about the timing of the release. Or did you forget this is an election year??? Yea Right you did. If Bush did nothing wrong then this movie will have no effect one way or another and as americans we have the right to free speech and that INCLUDES our freedom to speak our minds concerning the President of this country.

I dissagree with alot on this thread, and I agree with alot on this thread, but what Papet said right there, that is all that really matters. We have the right, we have the right for alot of things, I haven't seen the movie, and I'm not sure if I will.I don't really care for the man who made it, but he had the right to, and we have the right to see it or not, to agree with it or not, and I Thank God that our brave men and women are over there fighting so those people can have a life as good as ours. Those men and women are far better than I will ever be, they are everything I am not.I could never sacrifice my life for their freedom, I am too selfish, I want to be with MY family and protect MY family.I am thankful that there are people like them out there. And I will never downplay their sacrifices no matter what. But curosity is getting o me about this movie!

I have not seen it either and am not sure I will, even though I am definately NOT a supporter of George Bush. Yes he is our President and yes he deserves respect due to the fact he holds that position. But that does not mean he is above reproach. It does not mean he can do no wrong. Everyone makes mistakes including Presidents.
