Bush never said this war was going to be easy. He knew that there would be casualties. But he also knew the inspectors were wasting their time in Iraq. Saddam was hiding his weapons and had no plans of EVER destroying them. Sure, he destroyed a few, but that was only to buy time. Saddam thought it would work this time because it had worked before, but he didnt know Bush was different; he stuck to his word. So, no, Bush would not have let the inspectors finish their mission, because their mission was a joke.

What threat was he to the U.S.

Let the other arab countries fight this war if they want him out. Why the heck do we need to lose our people.

Unitednations, I do believe that Saddam is and was a threat to the U.S. Maybe not now, but in 6 months, two years, he would be. Hopefully we will deal with him now so that our children (the world's children) will not have to deal with him in the future. I did not support this war, but now that we are there we must finish it. Second-guessing or pulling our soldiers out will not help either side.

I was hoping that we wouldn't have to lose soldiers in this war, but they are there fighting for America. Saddam hates America and lies to kids so that they will hate us also. These people believe what he says about America because there is no one to tell them different. They believe that destroying us is to save them. It only takes one nuclear bomb, do we want to take the chance that Saddam is the one holding that bomb?

Saddam is a threat to the WORLD, not just America.
