Mod thinks the end of the world has started with the escalation between Israel and Lebanon.

I'm trying to think of a good place to hide.

Well, Mod - I still have that tinfoil hat. You may borrow it. You may visit here. The islands are sparsely populated as well as numerous. There are still bunkers from the WWII days on more than a few.

Here's just one at Fort Gorges, which sits at the mouth of Portland Harbor.

Here are a few more forts with bunkers and buildings (in red) for you to choose from - some on the island, some on the mainland (the latter all within a 1/4 to 2 miles away). Me? I am close to where you see NE Shipbuilders, which is now a nice, swanky marina. This map fails to point out the bunkers, brinck military buildings (now homes) and observations twoers on Cushing's Island and House Island. The one where Fort McKinley rests is Great Diamond Island. You have many options for safety.
