Perhaps this should be in the politics forum, but I figured that "open" is pretty generic, and it seems to get more traffic.

What do you think of this?

I asked my husband that, and he said that it was shot down in Va. mountains. And WE shot the missile in the Pentagon (remember, construction area, no civilians in the area, only military were killed) to cover up that we shot down our plane in VA.

As far as we (U.S.) knew, that plane was taken over by terrorists, the Air Force didn't know that the civilians on board were attempting a take over. Tapes of the cockpit showed that there was an explosion right as they got to the cockpit. Sad, huh? 30 seconds more, and they could have been spared.

I am from Somerset County and my husband works with someone that lives next to the property were the plane crashed in Shanksville. He amongst others have said they saw a missile and an explosion before the aircraft hit the ground. IMO our government sometimes has to do things in order to save many more lives, if they did so it was for a good reason. IF THEY HAD KNOWN THAT THE TOWERS WERE GOING TO BE HIT, THEY COULD HAVE DONE THE SAME THERE; MANY MANY PEOPLE WOULD STILL BE ALIVE. I am truely truely sorry for all those whom lost family in that tragedy. I am on pins and needles every year on 9-11. We will not know the whole story (more than likely) before we ourselves have past. The whole ordeal will always shed terror on our lives. This is just MO, I hope I didn't upset anyoneFrown

I don't think you'll upset anyone, FANGS, it's like you said, we're never really going to know what happened with the whole thing.

It falls under the category of JFK assasination or Marilyn Monroe's death. Cover ups, and all of that.

I just posted the website just to get everybody's take on it.

The Pentagon definitely did NOT look like it was hit by a plane though, and there was no wreckage. Makes you wonder....

Well, let there be no doubt. We are not safe as long as there is a single terroroist left alive and let's face it, we can cut down the numbers drastically but there will always be at least one terrorist left alive.
Fangs, do you truely think it is a good idea to tell others about Shanksville? Personally I would have prefered it never go beyond Somerset! I too know (of coarse Wink) some folks from right in the area of the crash sight but we all understood (and you do too that is why it is "OK" that you know what you know) that the gov. did what had to be done and that the families of those brave folks who TRIED to take down the plain from inside to save the lives of so many others deserved to get the credit, their families deserved to feel the validation that their loved ones were so brave and good that they gave their lives for other Americans!! The Gov. only covered that up (if so...pure speculation here....) because of those week Americans who say "What if they could have over thrown the terrorists before impact?" Well, look at it as if it were your job to protect America after all it is ALL of our jobs to do just that!! My "what if" is this..... What if those plains had been left alone and had hit their targets, what if they struggled with the terrorists while not in the vacant mountains of Pa where others could get hurt and the struggle brought a Bowing down on a daycare instead!?!
Sometimes tough disitions must be made, don't second guess them, we can't imagine the knowlege they had at that moment when they made whatever desition! Just be glad you didn't have to make this desition yourself and know that no one wants to loose lives but we all must objectively look at the bigger picture and think of the lives saved and fondly remember those lost. God Bless every family member and every lost American/non-terrorist who lost so much and suffered so profoundly on that day!! God Bless America usa

I think mentioning Shanksville is ok! There is a memorial there as well for the lives that were lost. But, pup-pet you made my point better than I could; thank you! It was on the news about the missle and the eyewitnesses. I personally would like to believe that plane came down at the hands of passengers trying to cause as few deaths as possible, true Heros! My heart goes out to all those families of the tragedy of 9/11. The day we as Americans stop shedding tears over those tragic events, terrorism will have won. We will be just as cold as those that terrorize us! Just MO!!!

I think it is extremely interesting. We are never going to know the truth about most things that happen like that. CJ

Apparently, this info has been released in conjunction with a book written by a Frenchman and due to be released soon. Has anyone heard about this book and the research done by the author??
