NO WAY am I voting for bush. I resent him and his religious right cronies imposing THEIR religious beliefs on ME. It is very intrusive.

Have you had a body of a loved one sent back to you Rose from this stupid "war"? I personally don't like either one, but Kerry will have to do.

I say Clinton should be president again!

Your post is just plain dumb. It reflects your age however, which must be very young. With age comes wisdom. Sorry, but I'm just stating the facts. I have a nephew who served over in Iraq, and recently returned to the States. We are proud of him, and he is proud to have served.

If you can't support our troops and the war effort, then just leave the usa and go live in Iraq! usa

Please tell me where my post was dumb?

Yes, I would be proud to have a family member come back alive and well too. Many families do NOT have that privilege. Of course I support our troops, but they should not be fighting in the first place. This war is pointless. What has it accomplished? NOTHING, but grief and economical disaster to the USA.

You're right, I am young, 22 in fact. Therefore I will have to live with the effects of this war long after some.

After re-reading my first post, it does seem a bit vulgar Wink.

I am so tired of this topic that I just responded quickly instead of wording things more appropriately.

But your statement about leaving the USA and going to Iraq WAS just plain dumb.

kerry...what does he stand for? anyone know exactly? I haven't met a democrat who has a clue. His whole policy right now is that he's the fun going party, that isn't bush.
The war issue. You can't achieve peace without war. War only solved slavery, ended nazis, and ended British oppression. PEOPLE DIE IN WAR. The people who are dying in Iraq are men and women. They are not children. They are willing to die for this country. They know exactly what they have got into.

Name 1 GOOD thing Clinton did in his years as president? The north Korea thing was AWSOME.

economical disaster...hmm.. 9-11 knocked American economy to its knees. I don't blame president bush, I don't blame ex president Clinton. Its not their faults. Truth be it though, this is the fastest Economical turn-around in American history. To go from such a low, due to a devastating event, to a great high, yes a great high, is an amazing thing the bush administration has done. The employment rate is great again. The media fails to bring that up. They only bring it up when its down.

If it was between bush and Howard Dean. I'd choose Dean. I agree with him on a lot of things, he's the only one who was not an absolute pus. He stood for what he believed. Something Bush and Kerry can't say.

Self imposing Christian ways?

I'm not a Christian. I am agnostic. The Christian values seem to further society for the better. Believe in them or not. They help. No rules=anarchy=conformity=government

War is not fun. It sucks. I've lost 2 friends there. When i talked with them last, I asked them if they were afraid of dieing, their response were very similar. "Not at all. Death is a part of life. when I go, I want to go with pride"

See no name calling, no insults, no yelling. A totaly civil response. Please don't be a dick to me, if you disagree, express why I'm wrong. Not how "stupid" I am. Be Civil, is all I ask. Be Civil.

Yes, it is true you cannot obtain peace without war. But what peace was we trying to accomplish? They had no proof (and still have not found any) of suspicious events taking place in Iraq. They are children to their parents and grandparents, no matter if they are 18 or 50. A friend of mine only joined because that was the only way to pay for college.

He kept this country running smoothly, economically and politically. Tell me one GOOD thing Bush has done.

I do not blame Mr. Clinton either. Did anyone notice how quickly this country went down the drain as soon as Bush was in office? Yes, it has STARTED to come back again, but barely. The reason: Bush is trying to gain credibility before the election.

General judeo christian ethics are one thing, love thie neighbor and all that. But to impose religious beliefs on others such as the abortion issue and whether gays should be married is not the place of government in my opinion.
