OUR LADY MEGAN broke well from the outside to set the early pace, widen the margin entering the turn, remained well clear at the eighth pole and was never asked with the rider but flashing the whip. BOOK THE CAT stalked the early pace inside, altered course outside entering the turn but was no match while out finishing SWEDER THAN MONEY for the place. SWEDER THAN MONEY never far back, steadily advanced inside entering the turn, made a bid but was outfinished for the place. MAGIC BREEZE up close from between foes, inched closer entering the turn, made a bid but faltered. WILD LOUISE chased the pace from the inside and tired. AWAKE AMERICA was no factor. LEVI LEXI was no threat. KEY TO THE GLORY was always outrun.

No Wish, you don't party when you win this kind of horse race...you go pay the bills that accumulated while getting the horse to the point that it won this race...The feed store, horseshoer, Vet & hay man will be very happy next week when the money is released...Maybe there will be enough left to go to Braums for a special treat!!!hehehe

Yea, horses are darn expensive when you race them...or just own them for that matter...You still have feedbills, hay to buy, vet bills, ect...That is why I got rid of most of mine...Can't afford it anymore..

I know, can`t afford all those pets. I cut down on the minis.Had 45 2 yrs ago. I am down to 16. Just keep the best.Why keep mares that you only get 800. a foal when you keep the best you get 2500. a foal.And of course LESS WORK.

I agree...Horses are real cheap here right now...The racing industry in Oklahoma is in trouble & so everyone is dumping their horses...It is a buyers market here right now...You can buy a Mare in foal with one on her side for $500...Sad!

I know, the sales here are full every week..My daughter picked up a yearling QH for $100 at the last sale she went too..There are usually alot sold starting this time of year because people don't want to feed them in the winter, but this year is worse...

this is just 1 auction 500 babies then there is another later and many private rescues. They come from Alberta.Most go to slaughter.I don`t go to those auctions.They are even reg. to give them a better chance to live and be adopted. Racey Go to PT for more imfo.
