Bush has established a new American doctrine of pre-emptive action that asserts the United States has the right to attack countries it deems a threat.

This country has changed. Bush and his Thugs are getting there way with the U.S.

What do you not understand about the changing face of the world and our need to defend ourselves pre-emptively? Now that we have troops on the ground you need to either keep quiet or get behind them. Otherwise get yourself to the Middle East and leave those of us who care about the future to do what is best.

Well, if you are a fair skin American, I'd like to see you travel into India, Pakistan, Egypt or any other Muslim dominated country. You will likely not come home with your head. Our freedoms are gone, and now, so is our ability to travel the world freely and without great danger.

What is it with some of you? What is new about doing a preemptive strike? Helllooo, does 9/11 ring a bell (a wake up call)?? Is anyone reading this old enough to remember when terrorists started hijacking airplanes and for a while it became a terrorist passion? It took a whole lot of effort to bring that under some sort of control. The Ethiopians figured out a way to handle it very quickly and efficiently. On one hijaking out of their main airport the hijacker was grabbed by two secret police. They told everyone else to get off the plane. News reporters and cameramen were called in. An officer came on board with a towel. He asked the hijacker to kneel and for the cameramen to get ready. He then placed the towel on the floor under the hijacker and lopped off his head as the flashbulbs went off. End of story, no more Ethiopian hijacking episodes. No life sentences and out on parole in ten. If you want America (and Canada) to get sucked in then tell Bush to pull back out of places like Iraq. Give them a message that the west is wide open to let off car bombs in downtown markets in the heart of New York, Seattle, Vancouver, and Toronto.

Finally!

Someone who truly understands what is going on!

That's a great post, Hawk. What so many protesters don't seem to get is that you have to FIGHT to keep your freedom. If we sat back and allowed people like Saddam (and those like Hitler before him) do what they want, the world would be in even WORSE shape than it already is.

For so many years, the rest of the world looked to the USA as the watchdog of the world, whether we wanted to be viewed that way or not, or deserved to or not.

And I ask anyone....If America didn't step up to the plate and do something about people like Saddam and terrorists like Al Quaeda, WHO WOULD??

NO DAMN BODY, THAT'S WHO!!!

I was watching a news channel a few minutes ago that showed a hussein statue being torn down. How many Iraqi's stamping on it when it fell.To see them kissing American soldiers and kissing President Bush's picture. Many were thanking president Bush over and over again. What a joy to feel that your country and soldiers and president can set a people free.I know we did the right thing. They lived in fear and now they can start enjoying a freedom we know everyday.Bagdad is liberated and we have president Bush and our soldeirs and British everyone who was on our side to help these people. They did it when Hitler wass here and now Hussein who will be no more.

We needed this war not only to get rid of a regime but to also to let the arabic world know we won't sit on our butts and be pushed around, "afraid to fight" we should send them all history books or movies on history or something. This nation got to be so great because people weren't afraid to put there neck on the line, and new what we stood for. My father tells of the times when armed Germans would go in there house for food, Imagine living in that fear, if we didn't step up to the plate when Hitler was doing his thing where would we be, and where would we be in 10 years with the Hussein family with even more power.

Do any of these spoiled-brat war protesters realize that if it wasn't for the President, and the people who fought and died for our freedoms (past and present) that they would be executed for speaking out against their government the way they do? They scream "freedom of speech" when they want to bash our troops, yet they have zero respect for those who have shed their blood to ensure that freedom. Freedom wasn't won in the past with peace signs and singing kum-bay-yah with our enemies. It was bought with the lives of people who deserve better than to be wined at by cowardly protesters.
