The Bush War Against Iraq is expected to cost $75 Billion dollars per MONTH.

How much of that money do you think we would have only needed to solve the Arab/Israeli conflict instead, as opposed to fighting a war in Iraq that we might win militarily but not morally- not to mention the subsequent years of terrorist attacks we will sustain afterward.

Bush asked for $75 billion, yes, but NO ONE ever said it was per month. At least not any news stations I was watching. And Veelma, not all of it is going toward death and destruction. It is also to help rebuild Iraq and to help the other nations who are supporting this war. This war is NOT about death and destruction. It is about saving lives. Yes, right now a limited number of people are dying, but in the long run it could save hundreds of thousands of INNOCENT lives. Right now the large majority of the people who are dying are NOT innocent.

Yeah, I heard him when he announced it on tv, but there was nothing about per month. Jeezzz, no country on earth can afford that! An example of things being taken out of context.

It is expected to last just one month. This is factual. I just don't have a link to a news source to back it up at the moment.

Its not immoral, God told people to go to war in the Bible when necessary. We can kill some people and try to make this world a better place, or allow a whole lot more immoral, and terrible things happen by allowing this evil man to stay in power. Dont get me wrong, I am not naive enough to think that this will solve everything and we will have world peace, and live happily ever after, but we can take action to solve one problem at a time.

"I think it is fair to say that there's some level of frustration with the press corps," the administration official said, adding: "He (Bush) thinks it's silly, not borne out by the facts."

The president is using the word silly to comment on certain aspects of the war.

The war has gone awry. it was not worth the blood spilled. Bush and Rummsfeld should step down and put a peacemaker to lead us out of this mess. Egypts president said today, that if we thought we had a problem with 1 osama bin laden, well, we have just created one hundred of them. I pray for our future but i am not optimistic. Frown

And my nepehw is on his way over there as we speak (type?). He just joined the Army last summer. When the rumors started flying about war while he was in boot camp, he amd some of the others got nervous about it. But we told him, shoulda thought of that before you signed up. You're in now and committed. Give it all you got and make us proud. And he did.

Not to say he's not still scared. Be a fool if he wasn't. But he's trained and he's smart as a whip. And if all our troops are like that (and I believe they are, we have the best military on the planet) then things will be ok.

And I agree, worrying about the cost of this war is useless.

Yes I will support this country, I draw the line when our people are not free to wake up in the morning and do what they want. I drew a line when we were attacked by terrorist, no more, get rid of them, before it did not effect our economy a great deal but when it hit home. Cypress gardens in
Florida, the oldest them park in Florida just closed, why, because of tourism or lack of due to 9-11, I don't want to worry about rag heads being on my plane next time I go to Florida, how many people got laid off because of the hit the tourism industry took, this is everyday life being changed because of 9/11, the hussein regime, (terrorism) and u want us to sit on our ass and let it grow, I got more patriotism in my pinky, I would die for my country would u?

I am caucasian and dating a colored lady, she is awesome. So that shoots the kkk thing right out the window. I also have a friend from India, he is a good guy. How come the Arabic regions of the world are always acting in such barbarak ways? It is a mentallity problem, a chosen few get a good western education and they use it to fullfill there own personal desires, like brainwashing people. Robbing from the country they live in for personal gratification, look at shitty lives the Iraqi people have and the number of palaces the leader had. Go to Iraq if u don't like bigotry, tell them u r sick and tired of the bigetry against them, maybe they will treat u like a princess
