This is something that I've been THINKING about - I don't know if I'll ever have the time to do it, but it sounds like fun. I've always loved to knit blankets, scarves ect. (I don't have time like I used to), but I thought it would be fun to take a spinning class, or at least work with wool that has been spun by local people. Anyone ever done it?

Have you ever watched her spin? It is so neat to watch an accomplished spinner work.

I've always wondered how people spun fur from other animals. Sheep wool is easy because of the scales, but I've tried spinning other fur by hand and it doesn't work! I've always wanted a sheep so I could make thread, but they get so oilly and yucky looking.

Rabbit? Really? With wool, if you got your own sheep, could you just wash it while it was on the sheep and then spin it or do you have to wash it after you buzz the sheep?
