Here is the pattern for the ripple afghan I made. Of course I changed it to suit my needs but this is the basic pattern.


Ripple Afghan - 40" x 60"
Crochet Hook size G, Gauge = 6 sc per inch

Materials: 16 oz each Color A,B,C,D

ROW 1: Starting at lower edge, with color A ch 252, work 1 sc in 2nd st from hook, 1 sc in next 12 sts of chain * 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in each of the next 13 sts, skip 1 st, 1 sc in each of the next 13 sts repeat from * 7 times, 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in each of the next 13 sts, ch 1 turn.

ROW 2: Working in back loop of sts only, 1 sc in next st, skip 1 sc, 1 sc in next 12 sts, *3 sc in next st, 1 sc in each of the next 13 sts, skip 2 sts, 1 sc in each of the next 13 sts, repeat from * 7 times, 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in each of the next 12 sts, skip 1 st, 1 sc in last st, ch 1 turn.

Repeat ROW 2 for entire afghan.

Work 6 more rows in Color A, 8 rows in Color B, 8 rows Color C, 8 rows Color D, repeat pattern 6 times, ending last repeat with 8 rows Color A, cut yarn. With Color A, work a row of sc on side edge keeping work flat, ch 1 turn. Working in back loop only, work 1 sc in each sc, cut yarn. Finish opposite edge in same manner.




The only dumb question is the one that goes UNASKED!!!!

I wouldnt say its hard.. it is monotonous though. And you have to count each stitch so you dont loose track so it is time consuming. But the end product makes up for it. Big Grin
