here's one: (i'm trying a new approach..hahaha!!)

We are little airy creatures,
All of different voice and features;
One of us in "glass" is set,
One of us you'll find in "jet,"
T'other you may see in "tin,"
And the fourth a "box" within.
If the fifth you should pursue,
It can never fly from "you."
Can you guess who or what the five "little airy creatures" are?

Got another:

How quickly can you find out what is unusual about this
paragraph? It looks so ordinary that you would think that
nothing was wrong with it at all and, in fact, nothing is. But it is unusual. Why? If you study it and think about it you may find out, but I am not going to assist you in any way. You must do it without coaching. No doubt, if you work at it for long, it will dawn on you. Who knows? Go to work and try your skill. Par is about half an hour.

There is no letter "e" in any of the words.

Cat, I am so old that I can usually recall some similar riddle or brain teaser. Then, I look for similar answers. With this one, I figured it had to be connected to language - parts of speech, wording, letters, etc.

These are so much fun. But, I think I will "sit out" awhile. I feel like I "talk" all of the time. Smile

I've got one:

My life can be measured in hours,
I serve by being devoured.
Thin, I am quick,
Fat, I am slow
But the wind will always be my foe.
What am I?

I got two brain teasers:

A customer at a 7-11 store selected four items to buy, and was told that the cost was $7.11. He was curious that the cost was the same as the store name, so he enquired as to how the figure was derived. The clerk said that he had simply multiplied the prices of the four individual items. The customer protested that the four prices should have been ADDED, not MULTIPLIED. The clerk said that that was OK with him, but, the result was still the same: exactly $7.11. What were the four prices?

What comes next in this sequence:
GWB, WJC, GHWB, RWR, JEC, GRF, RMN, LBJ, ???

all right cat, if you can't get those, maybe you can get these:

Are there more seconds in a week or feet in 100 miles?

Can you find the hidden country in the following paragraph:
As a keen photographer, I find the best way to capture the portrait of a gazelle is to stand well downwind. I also try to wear clothes which blend in with the background to reduce the chances of scaring the animal.

Just as an example for the paragragh, say that there was a country called "Sake"...and you found it in the paragraph, say what country you found.....There should only be one.
