Smile Cat, sounds like your sister has some unresolved issues about her hospital experiences,,WITH GOOD REASON!!! In years past, we didn't deal well with kids' fears and anxieties when they were in the hosp., and as adults they re-surface.
Bless your sisters, both of them and know that prayers are sent their way. We can say that on the board, huh?

Thanks so much Whisper! I replied to your post in breeders corner. Do you have any pictures of yorkies you can post? Maybe I could care less about being in the hospital because I never had to go in the hospital when I was younger?

Could be.. do y'all remember having to eat something that you hated when you were a kid? Won't touch it now, I'll bet!!!!!! I am that way with wintergreen...a cough med that tasted like it was forced on me as a youngun and when I get into my husband's car(he loves wintergreen Altoids) I almost puke!!! Another un-resolved issue, huh?
I will look at the pics I have and see what I can send. I had a major lap-top computer crash a few months back and lost over 320 pics. My computer didn't have a program for backing things up...now, new computer and all the bells and whistles. I still look for pics and then remember they are no more,,BOO_HOO!

Hey Whisper at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta they had room service! They have a menu for both parents and kids and they each pick what they want for each meal and can order whenever! I thought it was a great idea!

I think so too. Actually when we were leaving they told us the room service was an "experiment"- they're doing it for a little while and if everyone likes it they'll keep it. I'm sure they'll keep it- ordering your own food of your choice on your own time is better than the scheduled chosen meals. JMO

My phobia or shall i say one of my phobias is that I can't have both my arms covered up when I go to sleep. That's so wierd, but I have to have one of them out, even if it's freezing cold. So I switch back and forth under the covers.

I also can't stand long sleeves, they drive me crazy. I roll up all my sweaters to the elbow and my long sleeved shirts too, if I end up with any. Wink

I hate long gowns to sleep in- they are so uncomfortable and they get twisted at night. Very annoying.

Curious...I've gotta be honest- I've never heard the one-arm-under-one-arm-over-the-covers phobia Wink

I try not to gag when I drink milk - white milk. In the first grade my mother over paid for milk, extra milk, or something. Rather than refund the money, Mother and the teacher decided that I should drink the milk. It probably only lasted a week. But, I thought it was a month of drinking extra milk. To this day I have problems drinking just plain white milk. It is kind of funny to think that they felt I needed to drink more milk as a child. Now, I don't drink enough as an adult because of that! Do you remember wanting to play rather than eat? While out to lunch recently, I told my Mother that I used to dread eating my meat when I was a child - because meat took longer to chew than anything else. Mother was a little offended and thought I was saying her meat was tough. It wasn't. It was just I wanted to eat and go play. Meat was slowing me down! Smile Small children think the strangest things!

UGH bologna and milk?!?! Make me gag! I don't like either of those and I can see why you two don't either! I used to have mayo on sandwiches when I was young...don't like it now. I agree about the association of things with bad experiences. I will never eat tomato soup again because the last time I ate it (ohhh around 5th grade) I got sick.

Hey Cat, I do that too - stop liking something because I got sick at the same time - whether related or not.

I suffer with migraines and will not drink artificial juices. I always tie that in with a sick headache. So, if I drink a juice drink I check to see that it is really juice and not flavored artificially. - probably all in my mind -

I hate to tell you this Rasha, but you are going to have a very difficult life. I don't care for stupid people either or rather I don't care for people acting stupid.

There is a difference between someone actually not knowing something (that is not stupid in my book) and someone doing something deliberately that is stupid, like causing trouble on a talk forum or something similar.

It is a stupid person that resorts to name calling. An intelligent one would never have to go there to make their point. Some people act stupid out of frustration and most of the people that seem stupid just don't pay attention. Either they don't read something right or they read something into it that was never there. It's too easy to go and change around what someone else says to suit yourself.

When I have zero tolerance for the stupid person or persons (which is quite often), I simply walk away. I don't join in if I can help it. Why should I lower myself to their level? You might keep that in mind for the future--You can just leave when something or someone gets too stupid for you.

It's hard to find intelligent people and there are a lot of nice people that aren't overly smart, so I pick the ones I like, not the ones I can bully and not the ones I can feel superior too. After all, there is always going to be someone smarter out there. Always. You never know that smarter person might think you or I are stupid also. (perish the thought!!) Smile
