The new name of this forum is great!!
I would like to hear about any superstitions that you might have. I have very few. But, my husband has several - probably due to my Mother-in-law. LOL She was a sweet woman but she had plenty of "old wives tales". I am peculiar about using red ink. I try to avoid it. I think this phobia comes from marrying so young and money being so tight during our early years. I always associate it with a negative financial state. Never wanting to return to those years, I avoid the red. Crazy huh? My husband avoids black cats, among other things. If a black cat crosses the road, he will actually back up, turn around, and go another way!! "No one is ever his/her own boss. We will always answer to: 1)Law of nature 2)Civil law 3)Spiritual law." I read your posting earlier and didn't respond honestly believing that I had none but I do.
Suppose I am going to buy a new home and the closing is in three weeks. I will not tell anyone that I think tends to be envious or jealouse because they will cause the deal to fall through with there negative energy.Crazy right? but I'll still keep it to myself until the good fortune has already taken place. If expected accomplishments go wrong even after keeping it quiet,I believe that it just wasn't meant to be.So there, that is my superstition. |

I'm sorta superstitious the same way. If I'm getting a new anything important or expensive, I kinda want to keep it a secret until I actually have it and then I'm overprotective. The same way with a new dog, but that goes without saying...haha!! Yeah, I do think other people's negative vibes/energy influence us and we aren't even aware of it. I try to stay postive as much as possible to overrule the negatives that attack unseen.
