While it may seem splitting hairs, the photo was not altered, as in content changed. Only that content was removed, and in no way did that make the photo objectionable. Nothing essential has been changed, like adding a beard, horns, etc. And since the person posted that photo herself, on a public forum, it is in the public domain. Technically speaking, if the photo was taken by a show photographer, the copyright is theirs. But he would have to then deal with the person who posted the original photo as well as the one that posted the partial photo.

I could be wrong, but I think this was a UIC or Seiger show. Perhaps their standards are more relaxed, but I would never have entered a show ring dressed like that. It shows disrespect for the judge, the venue, and the dog. Yes, the picture was taken with what appears to be the judge and awards, so it was taken shortly after the win.

When showing, you dress to enhance your dog. This person is wearing dark pants behind a black dog. The overall impression is one of sloppiness. A pantsuit is fine, but with a dark dog, should be a light color, so that the judge can clearly see the dog's outline as it stands in front of you.

Just look at the professional handlers, even the "small" ones. You will never catch the men in less than a shirt, tie and blazer, or the women not dressed in a skirt.

I showed Goldens, so I could wear a dark patterned skirt, usually below the knee. Of course, it didnt' help when a yorkie went underneath it and jumped up my pantyhose as I was going into the ring Frown

Your potty mouth exceeds your intelligence quotient, Vaccaro. It's obvious your dogs can't cut it in class competition or they'd have CKC titles on them.

And what you say means what to me?Are you in BC by chance, because if you are let me know where you live so I can come and pay you a visit..

That puppy won his class at 4 months old and took VP-1 and Best Male Puppy in show in a class of 20,and the dogs were from ages of 4 months to 1 year, and he did this all at his first show ever,so tell me smartass, how much better can you get then that at a Seiger Show that a German judge was the judge at?Doesn't get much better then that honey..Oh and by the way not that it's really any of your bussiness, but he is in a CKC show in December and then in the summer of 2006 he is off to Florida to get his American Championship..For gosh sakes he is only 7 months old and has his whole damm life ahead of him.

Are you a troll or a big mouth know it all?You have to be one of them,I would lean more towards troll, because you sure don't seem to know to damm much much about anything, but like to make people think you do..

No, I don't live in B.C. I live at the other end of the country thank God, where we know what to do with trash.

Heading south for his AKC championship...tsk tsk...why not go for that "easy" CKC title huh? Too much competition, or not enough dog? It was hard for us to tell if he really IS a decent dog with your widows weeds on there.

It's very interesting that you can't take constructive criticism on how to make your dog look his best, as in wearing colors that show him off to advantage. It's also interesting that you seem to have a problem with CKC yet you live in Canada. Championships are not cheap in well-attended classes like Rotties..has to be something wrong with a dog that can't show here.

Yes, he is young. CKC and AKC don't put them in a ring at four months because there is too much growing and changing coming for them. Maybe as an adult he will do very well. Such a shame we can't say the same for his owner.

If you know what to do with trash out there, then why are you still on here?

Are you daft? headbashHe is going to get his Canadian one first and then he is going to the states for more competition because he is enough dog to play with the big boys.. Wink

That's quite an about face, but then with you, it's hard to tell which side is showing. First you say CKC championships are cheap, and now you plan to suddenly get one on this boy. How come they weren't valuable enough to get on any of your other dogs?

Did you hear how many rotties were at the Trade-X..Well in case you didn't there was only 8..The Trade-X the biggest show in Canada and only 8 rottweilers entered..I was going to enter my pup in that show, but I didn't want to because I found out before hand how many dogs were going to be there and I wanted some other pups as competition, but to my suprise there wasn't even any entered,so techically it would have been a waste of time and money to enter him in that show,as he just turned 6 months old 1 week before the show.

And if you would have been a little nicer about telling me my clothes were not right, maybe I would have been a little nicer to you..I know my pants were dark, but by the time I got to the show and realized it,it was a little late..I am just happy he did good that day, showed his little heart out and kicked some ***..I personally couldn't have asked him to do any more of him at that show, and I am very proud of him to say the least.

They were, but I didn't want to show,to much bullshit..I have been in the dog show world since I was 4,so needless to say it get a bit boring sometimes...And I am now showing Vin,because my friend passed away, and she made me promise I would show my dogs and not let them waste away..And that is onething I am true to and will not break is a promise to anybody and I always keep may word no matter what..I guess she is watching over Vin and I,and I believe that one show was just the start of his winning streak. But I guess only time will tell.

Vin's brother and sister from the same breeding but a year older both took VP-1 ratings at the seiger show and beat quite a bit of dogs in each of their class to..My pups are doing very good, and I am very proud of them..

Next time dress better for your dog's sake. There are outfits that will make you look more slender. A knee or calf length skirt and a tailored top. Or a sleeveless top with a long sleeve blouse worn over it to match the skirt, serves just as well as a blazer. Although a blazer will also look nice. Choose lighter colors, but don't sacrifice your own skin tones to crappy stuff like mustard or yellow. A black dog looks good against white, red, even pastel blues and greens. The better you look the better he looks.

You can't dress in a skirt at a seiger show, you would be the laughing stock of the whole show, everybody would be looking at you and not the dogs. Not to mention the fact that I would have to wear heels and at a seiger show you can't wear heels believe me, as the judge makes you run around for about an hour to see if your dog will break down or not.

And I do know how to dress for a CKC show,I have been to them before and rest assured I never dress like that..And I also know dark clothes also make you look like your trying to hide a dogs fault, espically on a black dog..Etc etc..I know all about that, but thank you for the advice anyway.
