Does anyone else think this may cause anger, jealousy, resentment, meaningless outbursts, multiple personalities and passive/agressive behavior?Maybe the affected Kitty is lonely and scared, and lashing out while drinking in excess is the only way it knows how to cope. Any thoughts?

Hmmm, I do think that drinking is a way to escape reality, and a way to cope with things you can't normally deal with in the real world.
I think it can cause mean outbursts, and i think it can cause bitterness when it gets ahold of you.
Of course when under control it can make you happy and in a good mood, when it gets out of hand you can become out of control and rant and babble.

here is some good reading.what I find very strange is, this person is now kitties buddies but not to long ago she called Crystal a BYB! Roll Eyes

That said, I want to comment, as others have.

Goldiepaws: Crystals cats CERTAINLY are pet quality. Some are better than others. Some Persian breeders would call "breeder" quality. But I dont think she has anything grandable...at least not from the photos I have seen. She is most certainly breeding pet quality cats. Are they cute? Sure. Healthy? They appear to be! Should she be breeding them, and having litters A LOT of the time? I say no. ESPECIALLY since her hubby is so sick.

OF COURSE FAMILY COMES FIRST. That goes without saying. And I hope that Crystals husband gets better. I wish Crystal the best and know she is living a very stressful life with her husbands illness. I feel for her.

That, however, does not mean that I agree, or condone her breeding animals just to produce pets. I do not. If she doesnt want to show, then she doesnt need to breed. Now, if she had to stop showing, or put her aspirations of showing on hold due to a family situation, I would understand, as we all would. But her cats are not show quality, for the most part. I dont think she wants to show, never has shown, and my guess is she never will. She has admitted to not enjoying grooming and not keeping her cats in coat...a HUGE part of showing.

I like Crystal. I think she is funny, and smart and a good person. But I do not agree with how she breeds cats. Her website states that she does occasionally sell breeding rights with her cats...why? That, along with breeding pets, is not responsible.

Do I think she is a kitty mill? No.

Do I think she is a back yard breeder? Absolutely. Without a doubt.

It doesnt mean I dont feel bad about her husband, or about any other family issues. It doesnt mean I dont like her.

It just is what it is, and thats all it is.

CG

a little side note: I have two very small children. I basically have not shown dogs for two years...maybe a show here and there, locally. BUT, the dogs I have are finished CH's already. They have their health clearances. I bred one litter in 04, and I am planning one for 06. Puppies from the 04 litter ARE being shown very successfully. I hope to keep and show at least one of the puppies from the 06 litter. I wont be able to go, go go all the time...but my intention is to finish the dog before it is bred, and of course to do all necessary health testing. My animals may have taken a back seat to my family situation, but my ethics DID NOT. There is a difference.

The irony of it all Amused, is that the trolls who unleash on us and say how sad and bitter we are, lonely and whatever else.....should know how OBVIOUS it is who the fun people are and who are not. These trolls post these ominous bitter posts, not logged in, and are attacking the people who are fun and full of life. Totally ironic!
