I just woke up and my eyes are still puffy. i had a horrible sleep, because it was too deep but the dream was beautiful. It felt like it lasted all night. I dreamt I was travelling alone to Israel (Im not jewish) and there was as much conflict going as there is today. people in groups all around the street corners with anxious looks on their faces. The palestine black and white scarf on many of their heads. looks of disenchantment everywhere. everyone was sad, not just the arab people. it was a war zone. I had travelled across town with a group of israelies to our hotel, (they kept me safe) and it was the safest hotel supposedly in the city. the hotel was ornate and wonderous. My visa card declined at the desk and so i gave them my american express card, which then began a discussion on the line of people waiting about american express and how they will suspend all your cards if you own just $10 late fee overdue on one of them. They then gave me my room key and I spend about the next hour trying to find my room. I was in the elevator and I could not read the instructions on the card so I pressed a lot of buttons and the elevator started falling downward to a pretty hefty crash, but nothing was hurt. I walked out and got scolded by a hotel employee who told me I was pressing too many buttons. he pointed the way again, so I went up the elevator and walked up finally to the room which I thought was mine. I walked in and it was great. deeply beautiful inside, only to find out it was not my room after all. I was on the wrong floor. so I kept walking and I had to go to the next wing of the building. As I did, I had to cross a very dangereous ramp that was exposed to the outside, where dangerous people were everyhere. It was getting more dangerous with each passing minute. I was not in the safe area of the hotel any longer. finally I found the wing where my room was, and it was very dark and cave-like. I found my room and when I walked in, it was not made up. a hotel worker follwed me in and tried to make up the dirty bed for me. I started thining immeditately about calling the front desk to ask for a new room, but it was too hard to find this place as it was, and god knows where I could find a phone or how i would use it. I looked out the window, and I saw a blown up land, filled with despair. kind of like the images you see in war torn bagdad today. i saw rivers with blood streaming though them and felt the strife in the air and the smell of smoke. My window was thin plate glass and somehow I was on the street level and anyone could happen upon my window and break in and so I was kind of worried about that.
slowly i woke up out of the dream and it took me a half hour to push out of my stupor. im still groggy writing this. I must get ready for work. thanks for hearing my dream.

I just woke up to a dream where I was hanging out with Traci Chapman all night long. We were playing guitar together, and I dont even play the guitar. Darn I wish I could cuz that was pure fun.

My problem is when I watch horror flicks, they invade my sleep and scare the crap out of me.

Dreamtraveler: maybe your life is moving too fast for you...or maybe the bills are piling up...sometimes dreams come to us in the opposite way of what really is on our minds. sometimes a dream is a sort of wake-up call.
