Pretty girl! My 3 year old daughter is so used to seeing drop eared dogs she wanted to know why her ears were cut! LOL She used to think any dogs whose ears were up were cats LOL! LOL!!

Bite is right on....everything looks SO good on her right now. We are entering the uglies, I hope she doesn't fall apart too bad.

I'm very glad to hear that she is looking good. I hate it when they go into the "uglies". I checked one of our young adult males today to see if his bite was looking okay. Glad to say it is. Came into the house & celebrated by eating some calorie laden ice cream :-)

Your puppy is truly lovely and even tho it will be going thru changes, this is an early indication that your pup will be just fine. Watch the mouth closely after you put her in a shoebox and put her on the top shelf of your closet for 3 months! (I'm KIDDING!!!) She has all the right angles and a beautiful body & head, so grow some patience........and wait! And pray!

Well, Sportingdogs, I DO know Chihuahuas and she IS a nice one!

Amberleigh, that is a BEAUTIFUL little girl and you should be VERY proud of her!

The way she is built I bet she moves sooooooooooooooooo nice. Very well balanced, not just a nice head but a nice correct body to go along with that gorgeous headpiece - as it should be (far too many Chi breeders are "head hunters" only and correct conformation & structure get lost in that pursuit)! This is a truly lovely little Chihuahua. And I have a feeling no matter how bad her "uglies" get over the next few months (some can definitely go truly pitiful gangly, lol!), she is gonna be some kind of looker when she grows up!

toast

LOL, had to laugh at this one. Man oh man can some of these little dogs go pathetic when they enter the "uglies" ... have to just not look too closely at them for a few months or they get altered and petted out! If one is just patient, voila! there is the beautiful dog you saw in that puppy, they emerge as the beautiful swan from the ugly duckling! Wink

Also, yes, these bites can cause some nail biting as esp. with certain lines they can change several times before finally maturing into a good bite! Eek

Thankfully, generally what a (well bred) pup is at 8 weeks is a very good indicator of they will be when they grow up ... there may be an occasional surprise or exception to that rule but with good, quality lines it does seem to hold true. Nobody warned me about the ganglies, tho, and the first time I saw it, it scared me! rotflol
