Thank you tail and radical for the welcome, and thank you winters52 for the closer look. I feel as confident as the day I first saw that picture the damage on that pups neck is from extensive chainings. No collar makes thoses types of marks.
I have been searching through sites I had visited for days to find these. They are the the sites I had seen the pictures of the pup in question on. http://www.geocities.com/reynoldsrj74/index.html

I am looking for a site about English Bulldog breeders that would inform you of which ones are reputable and the ones like Harraden's Dobieden to stay away from. Does anyone know of such a site? Having no luck in my search for our new baby Bully.

No luck finding an English Bull? Try the AKC Breeder referral site.

If you are looking for a "Companion Only" this should help steer you in the right direction, but remember it's still up to you to screen these breeders as well.

If you're wanting breeding rights on your new puppy, this may be the reason you aren't having any luck. No reputable English Bull breeder will sell to a newbie. They are so hard with many health and reproductive issues. Almost always a scheduled C-section, many resperatory and other health issues associated with the structure of this breed. Are there healthy ones? Sure! Get documentation of health tests performed on the parents and familiarize yourself with the problems associated with this breed.

If you don't mind my asking, "Why an English Bull?"

Some are here because they hope to make a difference, others like to roll around in the feces. You'll be able to "sniff them out" in no time. -DJ's Doxies,

do not use the akc breeder referral anyone who reg with them can use it go to the bulldog club of america they are not english bulldogs they are just bulldogs also even reputable bulldog breeders do not test for anything at least nothing i know they all pretty much have hip dysplagia and have breathin issues just becaudse of how they are built there is nothing htey have that they can test for so they dont test. find someone in the bulldog akc parent club that shows and hu is right you wont get a good dog from a good breeder without agreeing to have it spade or nuetered

Big Eyes, lots of makeup, cheap floozy clothes!

Smile Thank you everyone for the helpful information. After looking at more sites that I could name I have found a breeder in Kansas with a litter due in July. The kennel is Brenglora English bulldogs. They seem to have an excellent program but one never truely knows without going to the kennel and investigating. I have been looking since Christmas and find alot puppy mills like Harraden's dobieden have a fancy web site full of fluff to cover their faulty breeding practices. To answer Hu-dare, I enjoy the temperament of the breed. Have been able to enjoy a dear friend of mines girl for years but she is not a breeder. I will never breed just looking for a friend dog2

The breeders sold that particular pup and then had to go back and rescue it from the buyers because they had it outside on a choke chain for 7 weeks. He weighed 37 lbs at 13 weeks old when they took him back. The pictures posted on that page are pictures taken the night they RESCUED the dog from the buyers. He now lives in MD with new owners and is doing great! His new name is BANX.
