Hi folks,

I see some familiar names are still here (Hi vonLahr!! Hi Henny! Hi HuDare! and several others!). I have been very busy; I have been helping to raise a new litter that I co-bred and co-own but lives a few minutes away. I have gotten into a second Sporting breed English Setters. My Brits are doing GREAT. Kelly is TWO now and is knocking at the door of her championship. I seldom show her actually. She recently picked up her second five point major by going BEST OF BREED OVER FOUR SPECIALS!!! WAHOO!!! Too bad the picture SUCKS! She needs two singles to finish and I hope to do so at a specialty. I took her to the Eastern show futurity in April and she delighted me with getting second in the Senior female class and then winning Second Money Female! Her sister that I do not own got third to Kelly and then Third Money Female! Here is a pic of Kelly after her futurity placing

Hey Amberleigh..thanks Yes, it was a huge thrill to win BB with Kelly
re: the Setters...someone I knew locally from run-thru class and had become casual friends with needed my help a couple years ago when her best friend died and her junior handler who handled her dogs went off the college We started going to shows together and I started showing her dogs a little bit and we've become really close friends, so we co-bred her last litter together I whelped them and did most of their early rearing and continue to help daily. We have four girls kept back that we are deciding on (they are 13 weeks old). They are all going to Canada with us this week (along with Kelly and an adult ES) and some of the Canadian ES folks/friends of hers will help us to decide (hopefully, haha!). We'll probably keep two of them anyway. And I get to show them in BRED BY!! WAHOO!!

Is Kelly from the "Fab Five" litter? (or was it the Fab Four?) At any rate, you teaching me about this breed with so many fine examples to demonstrate the finer points, was vastly educational, appreciated, and remembered.

heehee, actually it was the "Ten Little Indians" litter...of the ten, so far we have one champion, two needing just two singles to finish, two needing one major each to finish and one singled out. One is also field pointed I'm glad you've enjoyed learning about Brittanys! They are certainly unique and fun!
