I was waiting for RL to ask,but then she would have to see how someone answers without Dancing.
I moved in with a friend who had Rotties.
We showed together and she really seemed like she was on the right track (as far as what she was doing and wanted to do).
She said she wanted to become a Judge, but did not have all the requirments filled.
I put my dogs in her name so she could use the puppies and titles to help her achieve her goal.
She fell along the way.Thought only about making her a name in APBT's.
She had a new boyfriend and could not think of anything else.
She stalked his wife, left dogs in crates to long.Did nothing with the Rottweilers.
This is when I desided to leave.Had it all planed on when to leave.
The Premire was when I was leaving. She would have been away for almost a week, plenty of time to get me and the Rottweilers out.
She stook her test and asked me to look it over. She had six wrong.I helped her with it,and she only had two or three wrong.
If I did not help her and she failed, who knows what she would have done.I needed things to stay friendly until I could get the dogs out.
After passing her Judges test, she desided to take the APBT test.
I did help her with that, but she failed.Even being a breeder/Owner of the breed.
There was a question about one blue eye one brown eye.
She was not happy ,she failed and I'm sure it was all my fault, but by this time I could care less.
http://www.pawvillage.com/pedigree/dynprofile.asp?ID=4I66Y48FVH
This dog blew a knee, from being crated alot and she was under feeding the Rottweilers.(by this time she had 17 dogs). He lost alot of muscle mass.I told a friend about it,because he was like this for a while.Weeks not days.
She contacted someone with Rottweilers and that person contacted the breeder.Who wanted the dog back.
I left the day I told her the breeder wanted the dog back. She said I made her look bad. When all I wanted was the dogs taken better care of.
I waited till my last Judging assinment in Oct of this year,I then sent UKC all the stuff I had.The actual test with her answers and mine on it.Her form letter using my dogs as hers.
I told them I knew I did wrong and asked to be taken off the Judges list.
A few months passed and they did nothing. So I said if they don't care that Judges cheat to become Judges put me back up on the list.
I would like to see a two year suspention of the both of us.They have suspended Judges for alot less..And if we wanted to become Judges after that we would have to go to Kalamazoo and take the test in front of them.I would,I passed it twice already...
But it seems they don't care....
So for now I am still a Judge. This story is no secert I have been talking about it for over a year,to quite a few Judges and other exhibtor.
I was wrong I see that now,but it's done. And if UKC doesn't care why should anyone else...

Alarming to think somebody can apply off of someone elses accomplishments and then take a test that's not monitored in some way for accuracy.....? THEN GET IN THE RING AND JUDGE?

What are UKCs requirements to apply for Judging?

Some are here because they hope to make a difference, others like to roll around in the feces. You'll be able to "sniff them out" in no time. -DJ's Doxies,

Minimum Requirements for New Judge Applicants

The aspiring judge must document three generations of breeding registered dogs of the same breed. The dogs may be registered with any acceptable registry.

The aspiring judge must document four champions of this breed of which they have been the breeder of record. The aspiring judge must be the owner or co-owner of record of at least two of these champions.

The aspiring judge must document at least ten years of active involvement in the sport.

They would like it if you were involved in more then just, Conformation. They want you involved in preformance venues.

It's not a lack of intrest on your part.I'm guessing you never saw anyone come out and tell the truth, without dancing around the question.

I think all of us at times have done things that we know we shouldn't. At lest you stepped up and were willing to take the consequences for it.
Not many would.

I hate this computer,I got bumped off three times already tryin to post this.
Everyone makes misstakes,I'm sure I will make more. But I won't hide them like some do.All mine are out there.
Being human it's kind of hard to be perfect like some others.
It's just too bad the registery doesn't care.It is kind of a slap in the face to those who worked hard to get where they are.

Personally, I think it's great that you are adult enough and mature enough to step up and admit that you made a mistake and can freely accept responsibility for it, which is a hell of a lot more than MOST people on this board would have done. Not a person here that hasn't done something in their past that they wish they could do over and do it differently..it's just that most are too chicken shit or embarrassed to admit it. I applaud your honesty.

LMBO - Oh yeah, DD, you are really on to something -- NOT! rotflol nutso

Sorry to disappoint you yet again ... but the only thing about this situation that concerns me is that UKC apparently doesn't have very high standards for its judges, and it doesn't matter how unethical or dishonest they were to become a judge or once are one and even when UKC knows about it they do nothing. That's a sad statement. Then again, there is a lot of stuff that goes on in other registries that is not all that kosher ... I guess that's just it, bottom line is they are registries, plain and simple, and don't necessarily police the fancy or their judges as they should.

LIKE I SAID, YOUR POSTS TELL ME ALL I NEED TO KNOW, AND THEN SOME. This one did give me a good laugh, tho, so thanks for that!

Yes. Except That It's Kind Of Like Robbing A Bank, Admitting You Did It, But Then Keeping All The Loot.

Oh Yes, How Wonderful To Admit You Cheated Or Helped Someone Cheat And Make The Grand Gesture To Turn In Your License, But Then, Keep It Instead. Ethic's And Morality Only Go So Far Huh Donna? Only As Far As The Loss Of That Item Huh?

There are so many unethical judges who do more than just help someone cheat.

Well, you are right and do have a valid point..however, she very easily could have 1) never mentioned it, and/or 2) totally denied it if it ever came up.

Like SOOOOO many people would have done (and have done). So although I am not condoning what she did, I still think it is admirable that she was honest and fessed up to it.

I'm not saying I'm the good guy in this situation. It was wrong.I turned everything in and gave up my licence. But when they did nothing.I wrote them an e-mail stating that if you don't care that Judges cheat, then put me back up on the list. They could have said no...They should have suspended both of us,but again. They don't seem to care.
Again RR for one who thinks UKC is a joke, why brag about your UKC CH's.

I thought about this while at work. You can do the same thing in AKC.
I know a guy who is a JUdge in AKC.He bred 3 litters of Rottweilers and never finished a one.Even Co-bred 2 litters with a breeder now in Canada(but it's not on those dogs pawvillage page),plus 2 other Rottweiler litters in WI.He never met the requirements with Rottweilers. He had his name on many a Tibetan Terrier litter. That was the breed he got his licence under. He has never on his own bred a CH Rottweiler.Yet he Judges Spec.
I know of a few other Judges who got in this way.
So it's the same in both registerys.

Hey TH remember when I got your CGC licence threw AKC taken away...Now that was funny...
If I never Judged again my life would not end.I do injoy it tho.
The same as if I could not show in UKC,there are so many more things to do with ones dogs.
To bad you have no time to title your dogs RR.
Living off what others do can only take you so far.
