Well, Josephine, for your information no it is not. I have a big rpoblem with people who feel that overweight dogs are happy and healthy dogs. And if they are being bred, well like I said, it is a form of animal abuse. I'm not sure that quest22 even said anything relevant to the subject at hand, hard to tell with that kind of writing. If "breeders" keep behaving the way the breeder at hand has then maybe the future for responsible breeders really is going to be short lived. It's "breeders" like this that make a bad name for us responsible breeders...period.....enlighten us, who are you and what is your experience in breeding dogs?? What she is saying is true. An animal being overweight is just as unhealthy as humans being overweight. Might be healthy for awhile but it does catch up to you.

Alright..I breed and show Miniture dachshunds. I have just recently purchased a Grandgables male and will be showing him for the first time in July. That will be in Chilliwack, BC where many of the USA breeders attend with their dogs. And, yes, I am sick and tired of breeders or people professing to be breeders picking apart other's for irrelevant issues, non related to breeding, showing or animals in any way. I simply don't understand what misguided lives these people live that they must sit at a computer all day looking for that one little thing they think they can "get" on another. Why not do as you and so many other's do, show pics, discuss relevant issues..isn't that what this site is all about??

And, yes, I am sick and tired of breeders or people professing to be breeders picking apart other's for irrelevant issues, non related to breeding, showing or animals in any way.
I simply don't understand what misguided lives these people live that they must sit at a computer all day looking for that one little thing they think they can "get" on another. Why not do as you and so many other's do, show pics, discuss relevant issues..isn't that what this site is all about??
