Tinkerbell is Due Feb. 3rd. All is well thus far. The Vet says there should be NO complications. I felt a tiny puppy kick tonight. Tinkerbell is doing great, she is more loveable then ever. Giving hugs and kisses. I have started preparing the nursery.

We are hoping for at least three pups. As each of my grandkids want one.

I will add a brief note here. I have not been on the board due to my sister battling cancer. I stopped in tonight to share my happy news about Tinkerbell. And to take some time to catch up on the goings on here. Have a good day.

Notice that the time she posted that Tink was in heat, it was the END of October (29th, there's only 31 days in October...), basically November? Doesn't it take 65 days from conception to birth? Then, when a bitch is in heat(blood spotting), doesn't it take a little while before you can actually breed them? So...
if she was bred on the 29th of Oct., she would be due on Jan. 2nd., BUT, what if Tink had just started the heat cycle when she had posted that she was in heat? Isn't it a week before you can breed once the bitch starts showing blood? That can bump it up to Jan. 9th. THEN... What if Tinker had just been acting funny because of the hormones, but not quite in heat yet? That could have been up to another week maybe? Bumping it to the 16th of Jan. Then, what if Mya had been mistaking that her dog was in heat? You know she's not the 'professional' breeder that everyone else here is, god forbid.

Okay let me see here. I brought Tinkerbell to Louey on November 30th. Around 2pm. They hooked up about half an hour after we got there. The first 20 mins we were there she was just tooooooo excited. Louey, being half her size was having a bit of a problem with her not standing exactly still for more then a moment. He would get so close and then I guess she felt he was doing something wrong so she would then attempt to show him how to do it. I have never laughed so hard.

Any ways me and my friend went outside to give them some privacy. within a few moments after that, they hooked up.

I was wrong in one fashion here, I thought it was 63 days. My daughter had counted it out on the calender and said the 3rd of Feb which is 65 days. Now As far as my post in Oct. I thought she had started heat then but it was not her that the spot of blood had come from. She started bleeding in Nov. I waited till she flagged and then waited for three more days.

At that point she was driving scruffy nuts with trying to hump him and every cat, stuffed animal, ect.

6 weeks after the pups come she will then be spayed.

I personally am excited and I am sure Tinkerbell is going to be an awesome mom. I am now knitting her some sweaters and blanket for the pups.

Tinkerbell is extremely camara shy. We tryed to get a photo the other day when she was being all cute and cuddly with me. She hides her face. I will try to sneak up on her next week when her belly is a bit more round. Right now with her long hair its hard to see the baby bump.

She is sooo funny, first she hugs and kisses me and then lays on her back for me to rub her belly. I know one thing for sure those will be the cleanest puppies in the world. She never stops licking. She used to give a kiss now and then but now it never stops. I am just toooo excited.

No passion here. BORING!

Some are here because they hope to make a difference, others like to roll around in the feces. You'll be able to "sniff them out" in no time. -DJ's Doxies,

Well I got a photo of her belly, under protest I might add. I will have the photos next friday to put on here. I am still living in the past with a throw away camara. No digital convience for me.

The babies are moving a wee bit more now and she has the tiniest of baby bumps. I wish the next couple weeks would hurry up and go by.
