When they are that young it is very hard to tell much about them. Plus not all chihuahuas look alike. Over the years the breed standard has changed but many, many people are still breeding what I call "old fashioned" chihuahuas. Those old fashoined ones tend to have longer legs & longer heads. The standard now calls for a more compact little dog & the heads are shorter now on the chihuahuas being shown. Add to this the fact that people are breeding these different types together & you get something that has a look that is different from either chi parent. I'm sure you will love it makes no difference which side of it's family tree it looks like. There is a DNA test now (I think $65.) that will answer your question to some extent.

It doesn't look CHI to me. It doesn't look 8 weeks to me and please clip the nails!
Though it is cute I wouldn't get it. If you already have, then just love it and care for it.
I don't mean to sound rude just gatta go milk the cow!

Uummmm, milking the cow at this time of day, Tailwagging...........Don't you know you are supposed to be milking that cow by sunrise, lol.

Yep that puppy really looks young. Not sure what age it is though. Maybe check to see if it has a mouth full of teeth. If it does not have a good set of teeth I would question the 8 weeks old. I know nothing about other breeds but my chihuahuas have a really good set of sharp little teeth by 8 weeks.

I would guess it is pug and chi mix. There are lots around that look exactly like that and I would say that pup is about 6 weeks. Even if it was 8 weeks a Chihuahua and other small breeds should not leave until at least 12 weeks.

Well.....if it were a bitch I would say give her some brewers' yeast but I'm not sure about feeding that to a bovine. I wish you luck with uping the production though. I can remember the relatives having this arguement about wether a good milk cow was "made" or if she was "born".
My idea is that it's a little of both. How many times per day are you milking her out completely ?

Sorry about the subject change. I still vote for the DNA test on the chihuahua. By the way what kinds of dogs did that "breeder" have besides this chihuahua puppy ?
