The Club sends MsL the Club information for their newsletter , she edits the information and sends it to the printer. How is that a club representative? Because people have to send her their information? The President represents the Club as do the board of directors. The rest of the people in the club are the workers, they are appointed to the positions or they volunteer. They only represent their club as members.

you people are so sad... the way you rip each other apart... i don't know who any of you are & I don't want to either, all I know is there are all lot of good breeders on both sides being called stupid and immoral and I say ENUFF is enough... no matter what the decision, I'll continue to to do what I want to do because, after all this is America and I have the RIGHT to do that, and I'LL do it without ripping good people to peices. The BYB & Millers prolly are't contributing to this forum.. so the only ones you are HURTING are respectable breeders so please stop. Great Britain

Well, not quite. And the good old USA has always been the home of the brave! People have different opinions and they are entitled to them. It is the way in which you express yourself and set yourself up as an authority on the breed, when, in reality, you are anything but that. The fact that merle Chi's are banned in those countries is of no consequence to us - only what is going on in the USA because traditionally, those countries seem to go off the deep end on other breed related tangents, so let's stick to THIS country. It is difficult to have an intelligent exchange of information when nothing intelligent/informative is being exchanged. So you can call yourself the "enemy" or whatever, but with that attitude you will never bring anything worthwhile to the table. So, in a nutshell, that is what continues to piss people off & watching one's back is probably not a bad idea under any circumstances. LOL!

Many colors were introduced into the breed, which is part of what makes them unique. Any color is acceptable. Brindling and other coat patterns did not just fall from the sky. They were introduced the same way merling was and it isn't anything new. Popular colors come and go... when fawns are in demand you'll see a rise in that color. When blues are highly sought after, more of them will be bred etc. Merles seem to be getting more popular lately so you'll be seeing more of them.

A lot of breeds have their own controversies like the white GSDs or harlequin great danes for instance. This is just part of dog breeds in general. There's no point in fighting about it. If you don't like merles, don't have them. I don't understand why anyone would care what color dog someone else likes. I personally don't care for black and tan chihuahuas but I wouldn't judge someone for wanting one, I would just simply pick a different color for myself.

If anyone is worried about health concerns, why not focus on educating people on puppy mills and helping out with shelters/rescues? I have heard of thousands of horrible abuse stories with chihuahuas needing vet care and good homes and basically being tortured and actually have never heard one horror or sad story involving merle chihuahuas.
