Don't you think it's kind of stupid you don't "screen" the homes of people before they get a animal from you? For God sakes, it could be worse then the house they were rescued from.. Funny, any other rescue place is adamant about getting the dogs they place fixed.. So much so that their either fixed when they arrive with the new owner, or they come get the animals from the new owner, take them to the vet, have them fixed and then bring them back.. They are also very adamant about doing home checks before they allow someone to adopt a dog from them (at least an ethical rescue anyway), so they don't end up with people like fayep.. At least that's been my experience anyway..

I don't know, doesn't make awhole lot of sense to me.. I'm going to have to find out more about the "so called" rescue that gave Dean Fayep's number... I gather you never checked out fayep's house before you gave her number to Dean, did ya? I can guarantee you if you would have, you wouldn't have wanted to let her have any dog, rat, mouse or even a fish for that matter...

It doesn't matter if you only "rescue" dogs in pounds, you're a rescue Society, are you not? fayep should of had a home visit before anybody allowed her to have that Zena.. How hard would it have been for somebody to go over to her place (to see how she lives) and met her before the choice was made to let her have Zena..

You say Vaccaro's unethical for not standing behind her dogs.. I think your just as unethical for not checking out a persons home before you let a dog go live with them.. What if they were into dog fighting and Zena was going to be used as a bait dog? Or they had dogs locked in cages all day that never get to see the light of day, and that were breed over and over again just for profit? See, you don't know these things unless you find out about the people that are wanting to adopt dogs from you.. Geez, how much can you find out about a person from a "phone call"?

And for the person that has this dog, the offer to spay her if its not already done still stands. And if you don't do the right thing and spay her, well shame on you. Because in this case, it is totally the ethical option.

This trading of dogs was not done with the rescues ok. "MY" little rescue does not have the room or resources to take owner surrenders, or did you just decide to ignore that part of the post.
Dean is an idiot, but you sold him the dog in the first place. why was there no breeding contract, why was there no follow up, why does rescue have to take responsibilty for a reputable breeders dog? How is that our job.
Again Baller, we did not place this dog, the owner did, we did not fix this dog because we had NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS DOG. If the breeder had shown some reponsibilty for their own dogs, none of us would be having a conversation

Hello, there is a contract.. He even signed a non-breeding agreement.. Vaccaro does check-up on her dogs all the time.. How do you think she found out this fayep had Zena...

I just wish somebody would have tried harder to get ahold of Vaccaro before the dog was given to fayep.. And like I said, other breeders know where Vaccaro is, and if they tell you they don't, they are lying..

As a matter of fact, fayep knows where Vaccaro lives (but she never informed you or Dean of that), so, she should by rights return Zena to Vaccaro, instead of keeping her and wanting to use her for breeding.. Don't you think that would be the wise thing to do, as then it's Vaccaro that has to deal with the dog and not anybody else (and believe me, fayep will make Zena's temperament worse), and like I said, she is willing to take her back... FYI, fayep lives about three mins away from Vaccaro, so she could have stopped by her house and said "hey, I have one of your pups here, the owner's name is Dean and he doesn't want her, do you want her back?".. But no, instead she would rather keep the dog, and again breed the shit out of it..

I refuse to get into the whole mess between faye and kathy. I don't know either of them, don't want to know either of them, I am far too busy trying to do what I can for shelter rotties to referee these two. I will leave that up to those on this forum. But I will say, before you go smearing my rescue you had better get your facts straight. This mess is all because a breeder can't keep track of her dogs or just doesn't care. Either way its not a breeder I would ever reccomend to anyone looking for a pb papered pup.
And if Vaccaro would like me to drop by and see her setup then please forward me that information. There is nothing I would like better than to meet face to face with her

That was the only time somebody answered the phone.. Regardless, she still got in contact with him, because she was pissed she didn't get Zena back..

I PM'd you her phone number, didn't I? She is gone for a few days to Ness Lake, but give her a call on Monday, and she will be more then happy to set up a time so you can come and see her animals.. I have a great idea.. While you're in the neighbourhood ( at Vaccaro's house), why don't you stop by fayp's house to, and see how her animals live and see what her house looks like? After all, it's just a hop, skip and jump away from Vaccaro's house.. But of course, you won't do that, right?
