Well, folks, it's day one for the Extra litter saga. I expect Penny to be ready for breeding around February 3rd for puppies near April 8, 2010.

You can see more about this litter at http://www.redyre.com/extra.html

I will be updating this thread as we go along.

You are just a ho. LMAO!!

Want to hear something cool? This dog is in NJ. I am in NC. Stud dog owner's daughter lives in the same town as my pal near Raleigh. 2 hours away. He's coming down to visit her, so no drive to NJ.

haha

Progesterone results for yesterday, .2 so she has a long way to go yet.

We are looking for 3 (luteinizing hormone surge), and then 5 (ovulation occurs when the bitch reaches 5 nanograms per ml). Once she reaches 5, then breeding will occur 2 to 4 days later.

I will do another test on Monday to see where we are. Results can change quite rapidly, so stay tuned for updates next week.

First of all, he is not a very photogenic dog.

I chose this dog because I like him personally, and I like what I have seen that he has produced so far.

I knew his sire and I LOVED that dog. The pedigree behind this dog has produced some of not only the top winning dogs in my breed in the last 5-6 years, also many top producers.

Milton says his mom is ripe. We all had a rather sleepless night last night due to his inability to be QUIET. (whine whine whine).

We are off for another Progesterone test this morning. I expect she will show near 5 when results come in tomorrow morning, and we will be heading off to visit Vinnie.

Please keep good thoughts for a successful breeding, settling, and puppies!

OMG. He is off the hook tonight. He is being very good as long as I let him lie by the door to the room where she is.

I am leaving for Raleigh in the morning as soon as I get the results. She has got to be ready according to all this. LOL
