See, I have always practiced keeping them in the same room and crated side-by-side, with times out for either, and/or parties was easier or LESS annoying than separate rooms. But that's me in my breed and my experiences.

Getting all my fingers crossed and hopes and dreams riled up. Smile

We had a successful breeding. The semen quality is outstanding. I mean this guy is off the charts as far as count and motility. I have a very good feeling about the whole thing.

We got another breeding today. What a nice dog he is. Vinnie will be 8 before this litter is whelped.

You should see the bone! His photos do not do him justice.

If progesterone numbers combined with a bitch standing like a brick wall, and outstanding semen quality have anything to do with it, we should have gotten it right!

Today is day 5 of 63. I will be photographing and updating every Friday for the next 8 weeks, so you can look for your weekly Friday Extra report.

Ultra sound to confirm she is in whelp will be on Friday March 5, which is day 29. Assuming she is "positive" Big Grin pre-partum exray will be on Monday April 5, day 60.

Puppies expected April 8th.

He should have more color! It's definitely a fault, but it is the icing rather than the cake. Big Grin He also does not seem to be producing it. Penny has already produced a majority of clear marked progeny from another sooty boy. (Shaka) Big Grin

On ultrasound exam today, it appears that Penny is empty. Very disappointing news, of course, but we will move on from here with other plans.

Penny will be spayed later this spring.

And it could be.

I am going to have the blood test done next week, that will certainly tell the story.

I cannot express how disappointed I am.

Oh no!!!

The "relaxin" test, if that is what you are doing, is not reliable from what I have heard.

Was the stud dogs semen tested? Ugh. I am just sick for you. I think you should try again! Crap!

This damn "hobby" is just full of heartache...the joy makes it worth it...but its time's like this I say "what the hell?"

Then, I go back to my saying I have to live by: everything happens for a reason.

I also think...don't give up on her so soon!

Thinking of you. Email me or come chat tomorrow night on webcam...it will be up at 8pm CST

MsB
