The ad is pretty annoying.

I removed myself as a fan because I started to think...what if he starts streaming our content to facebook. Not only would that be stupid, I think it would violate the Eve Panel's, third-party-use terms agreement. Just saying.

The nastiness of this forum really makes a compelling case to shut down the forum here and start anew with FB. This really is a nasty bunch on breeders corner.

OMG, that is hilarious. So, since we don't like your stupid facebook ad taking up HALF of the forum page, and since we don't like it that you allow SCAMMERS to advertise and do not appear to care...you are getting all pouty and going to shut down pluba forums?? WAHAHHAHAHAHHA. Ok.

I'm sure you'll edit this and/or ban me...but chaz and PDG are forums where we can still keep up wtih each other. I'm sure there are plenty of others. This will just be one less forum we have to continually monitor and educate people about what reputable breeding is, and is NOT. Do you think this forum has really made the world a better place? If it has, then maybe it has a reason to continue. Otherwise, what good is it? I don't know the answer, but my gut tells me this place is a bust.

If "some" of the member's acted like they do on Chaz and other forums, like they do on this one, they'd be kicked to the curb in an instant and they know it, that's why they come here to be "nasty"

In all honesty...the ad is huge and doesn't need to be that big...but Mod it is your forum to do with as you please...

On the issue of the forum being full of Nasty people...That is so NOT TRUE! Proof of that is, whenever someone has a serious issue...everyone here comes together for a moment to console that individual...it is like a normal family!

So Mod if you want to call the members of Pluba anything...you should call us a FAMILY! We fight, we laugh, we love and hate, we put down and pick up!

We are a family with Strong Opinions...

Are you kidding me? NO, IT HAS NOT. If your aspirations for this place are to make the "world" a better place, you have failed miserably, for YEARS. You have allowed people to be stalked in real life, allowed phone numbers and addresses to be posted, pictures of homes, etc. You then made up your worthless manifesto that you STILL didnt and don't enforce.

What good are the forums, you ask?

They provide an outlet to get the word out about reputable v. irresponsible breeding. They do provide ideas and information on pet keeping and care. They sometimes do provide useless, but interesting information. The do create an outlet to blow off steam, show off pets and kids, etc.

I have met some HORRID people on these boards.

I have met some that I can take or leave.

I have met some WONDERFUL people on these boards.

Everything that has been on this board, all its members, all the trolls...if the board is gone tomorrow, no one, at least I'd hope, would think the world lost something important.

This board is entertainment, a sounding board, and educational at times...but it is not so important that you are going to get people begging you to keep it going.

Make the world a better place??

And she's right, this is a lounge area or sorts and if you decide to stop hosting our little partaayyyy...we'll just go somewheres else. The good the bad and the ugly.

Nobody's asking for you to NOT have a fan page...just take down the freakin' ad already.

I don't expect anyone to beg of me anything. In fact, I tend to agree that this place would just disappear and reappear in some other variation on some other forum with no love lost.

Basically:

a) the content on this forum is largely incomprehensible to anyone that is not a student of breeding, breeders, the industry that surrounds it, and the innuendo that swirls about - at least it is for me. I have no idea what anyone is talking or bickering about. I have tried but its all greek to me.

Unless one understands what is going on outside the forum and on the other forums, one person particularly with no industry knowledge can't possible trace all the discussions. In some cases its like trying to read a book that starts on chapter 4 and every third chapter is gone. chapters 1-3 played out on some other forum, or at some show somewhere, and the other chapters happened on private emails or PM's between members. This forum doesn't make any money so hiring a staff to decipher the discussion is not possible.

b) we have tried to put in moderation with board members, but it introduced an entirely new set of problems.

Otherwise, call me stupid or perpetually ignorant. I just don't get it.

I also am under the impression that there are no minors here and that you can or should handle yourselves like adults and not need to be censored.

The Facebook ad is large, but its not permanent on the forums. Just long enough to get a good jump start.

aside from all this, you did give me an idea to the name Breeders corner to 'Responsible Breeding'. At least you would know what you were in for when you stepped into the room.

I'll have to check it out at a normal resolution screen. I'm on a very hi-res screen and they look ok, but a smaller screen and it could be a problem.

Mod...I am sure in your eyes this topic is finished...but I did want to note that 'I' am ignorant in the field of Breeding...but have Learned alot from this forum over the years concerning Breeding and caring for animals!

As for the area of fighting...there again...I have learned alot about myself during alot of these 'family disputes'...I like to think I am slowly becoming a better person because of my Pluba experience...

I would terribly miss everyone here if Pluba went away!
